Hmmm. Not bad. Could use some work, but difficult to pin point where.

yeah heavy metal is kinda fun. But doesn't that just bring back terrans to pre-BW while dealing with a toss with BW units?

Hey ain't the Goliaths the best air counter?
It would be better if you could add pictures to further describe the game scenes. Very comprehensive report though. |

.Praetor, in case you might want to write that BR on Hypothemia, I'm writing it. =) I took shit load of screen shoots and I bet the graphics gonna rock.

I think fbats against toss would have been a better means of ground assault than goliaths.

I personally agree with going Goliaths against the Protoss. With more life and greater size, they're far less vulnerable to psionic storm, and they're far more viable a counter to carriers.
Terran infantry with medics and stimpacks are AWESOME against Protoss early-game units (dragoons, zealots) but once high templar enter the picture, forget about 'em. One high templar slaughtering 3 control groups of infantry by himself? Ugh. I'll go with the goliaths. |

Christ FLS! Don't BR that game!!!! I S-U-C-K-E-D. WEll if you do report it, make sure you put focus on all my nukes and not so much on everything else hehe.
Oh and that one battle where I locked down 8 goons!!
hehe
I mean gimme a break, my final score was like half everyone else's.

I played a 1228 terran today who was quick enough with comsat and irradiate I didn't get off more than two storms in the early game and eventually stopped making templar at all. Talk about a frustrating experience. If you can neutralize templar then M+M with tanks becomes the way to go.

True AQD... Here is how it works. Hotkey 2 or 3 SVs, each with their own hotkey. Place the SVs about 2 screens away from the protoss base. Scan. Irradiate templar using the scan to provide vision, and the hotkeys to select the SVs. Shift-queue the SVs back to a safe place. Result: SVs move in, stop, cast irradiate, and moveout all at maximum possible speed. However, reavers are still a concern. So are corsairs (the extra range of goliaths makes them much more useful against M&Ms vs. corsairs). And smart people will hide their temps in a shuttle or behind a few cannons. Speed upgraded vultures also are semi-effective for vulture assassination. As are ghost squads against observer deficient protoss.
The big reason why I like super heavy metal though (6-8 factories) is that it requires the least amount of micro. Much like a toss, you can just attack move units to points on the mini map and go back to base management/macro and expanding. The only things you really need to manage are goliaths... and you can shift queue them pretty effectively. This assumes to that you are taking the battle to him, and can therefore take on carriers and cors at a location of your choosing.

My conflict was before I had a second tech branch for shuttles, and I was setting up right outside his base for containment. I killed two science vessels at the cost of ten templar over the course of a few minutes. Of course, I did get 36 points for winning that game so I'm not too pissed about the frustration =]

Don't worry Johnny, your nuke will get famous.

I tend to use my templars in pairs against a terran. If they go on an irradiate raid then merge both for an archon. No more worries about irradiate damage.
Of course I'ld rather have the templar but an archon is better then nothing. 8^)

HardDrive: If you really want to save your temps, keep them next to shield batteries and use Zileas's method of madly right-clicking on the batt to constantly recharge their shields until the irradiate runs out. Archons are pretty worthless, in my opinion, in PvT late game. By this, I mean they are pretty useless with or without EMP. I simply don't find any good uses for them, does anyone else?
One comment about walling off, from the BR: If you do the Heartcutter wall-in correctly with 8th->depot, 10th->rax, 11->refinary, 12th->depot, you WILL stop zealot rushes cold because they won't be able to walk through your wallin once you start that depot.

Uhhh, but, I still think Goliaths are the best defenders for air attack, espeacially toss assaults. Coz' Dweb will flame out the turrets.

beauty. I was thinking of starting a Terran ladder series like AQD3's, but you've got a better terran...give 'em hell!
Terran Synth Rock owns you all
