| Whoa this is so cool. Love the report. I don't think I ran into situations like that b4, although I sometimes lost my main base while coming back. That's about it. Cool to be you dek. =] |

Beauty. The typical key to catching a hydra dropper off-guard is double lair...if he single-lairs, the key is to catch the drop as it's dropping & whale on the hydras as they pop out...other than that, there isn't much you can do...
Vs. Zerg, I find it's more worth while to set up decent defenses around your main more that @ your choke...a Z. will have ~lots~ of transports around once his upgrades finish...
You also played a rather defensive game...Did he put a hatch & sunkens @ his choke? If not, it's more that possible to infantry rush his sorry zerg booty & end it w/ M & M...
But you won. So good job.
:)
All the best,

| A thing of both incredible beauty and luck. Should serve as a lesson to early quitters--giving up is not an option! WTG! |

Yes double lair is the key to the dropper, unless it is mid to late mid-game or early late game, when he could get both upgrades from one lair.
You kind of dis'ed your opponent in the beginning of the report with your name for him because I figured Korean zerg = Z.Dropper = Disconnector, but to his credit even after losing the whole game to a measley 5 marines and some SCV's (quite embarrassing) he did not disconnect. |

| Oh yeah, I forgot... Do not fear 6 or 7 pool as terran on Lost Temple. If you don't see the early o'lord you know (almost for sure) that he is in a far from you start. Even with early o'lord, if you go depot first your 10 or 12 SCV's will eat 6 lings up no problem and if he keeps sending lings your marines rally'ed to the min line provide plenty of hot lead to screw the zerg with his crippled economy. |

Good job hanging in there! I find that the clearest sign of a drop is when the enemy zerg does not take thier natural or expand. The only really threatening thing they can do with one base is a mass drop and catch your troops at the entrance to your natural and unable to defend. So just prepare for a drop in that case and leave a bunker with one marine a little way outside the enemy natural so you know if they decided for a land attack.
Generally as terran I'd say drop preperations would be the standard tank/bunker defense, or if you are one of those people that likes mass M+M and science vessesls, I suggest a slightly higher mix of firebats than normal. You can usually get the bats to the drop location and with stim and splash firebats can really pop hydras and lurkers as they disembark from the overlords. |

Hey the same thing happened to me last night. I had 2 tanks a science vessel and about 10 marines and 3 medics. He dropped a couple of lurks and about 9-10 hydra as I was moving to his base with an scv and most of my troops. As he dropped me I sent my troops in but unfortunately he had a lurker and 3 sunkens. So I comsatted the lurker and ripped it down. But I was quickly losing buildings of my own and zerglings kept coming. I eventually killed all the sunkens and his lair, losing both my tanks and a couple marines. My command center made it to the island expansion as did my starport, but unfortunately the hydras that had attacked my base came and finished off my 5 or so marines and medics that were left before I could get his second hatchery. So I ended up losing that game, but it almost worked. Oh well, guess this report will end up as a lesson to all zergies out there - sunkens and lurkers really slow down the terran war machine, buying you time to defend with new troops. congratulations on winning this one though; good job.
