I have to say that not fearing toss on temple is incorrect. Your victories against toss have most likely come against people of inferior skill/strategies. Also if you dont wall in at your choke and then go vultures first you should be dead within 10 minutes. This is because you cant defend against hard goons which is what a toss player should do against a 1 rax build. He can beat on your buildings outside bunker range and of course vultures suck vs goons. As soon as his range kicks in you're dead.
On the other hand you're correct that stopping the tank push as you described is near impossible till a toss has web/carriers.
But your ladder score is higher than mine so who am I to judge ;)

I agree with Silent Strike...playing a conservative game vs. protoss is asking to be contained, out-expanded, and rolled over w/ Carriers & D-web.

Whoop... your ladder score should be higher than mine. Period. I attribute the fact that it is not to the fact that you are very unlucky or I am very lucky (true... see my report before this), and you laddered too early in the season (when a lot of very good players were still rated very low).
As far as turbo goons being the correct response, you are right... but if toss starts with hard goons, then terran needs to switch to tanks much sooner. I think I made about 20 vultures before my first tank in that game... if I see even a single goon, then I will mine with 5-6 vultures, immediately switch to tanks, and set up tank & bunker & turret containment at his choke before I attempt the tank climb. And go back to M&Ms as tank support instead of vultures. But remember, I didnt let him see what I was up to, and I knew exactly what he was doing. This helps a lot.
BTW: start laddering again whoop, so you score goes to where it should be (above mine!). Also, I will not play nwtr/nohunters people on ladder (or I would not write these battle reports!).

Oh and whoop, I didnt say that I didnt fear the toss matchup, just that I am fearing them less than zerg. Dunno why, but my terran vs. zerg game is really sucking right now.
