| Okay, suggestions. The game wasn't all that great and man oh man why did you do the Ricky Martin probe thing? I felt like I was reading some crappy version of YRM's report. Anyways, it was pretty good. Next time be original and try to report games that are pretty close. |

Well, for one, don't emulate YRM's reports so obviously :). Get your own style.
Also, put in more paragraphs - one of the Reporting Guides has a good section on how to make paragraphs.
Remember to put in a pic of the minimap, with the starting locations, and points of interest listed. It helps oh-so-much.
And finally, find a more interesting game to report on. Generally, you should find one that could go either way, or one that demonstrates a crucial strategic maneuver, etc.
Yeah, I know my only Battle Report (well, actually the second, but the other was from a year and a half or so ago, and was on Starstats, which I am not sure about the existence of) isn't THAT great, but still, I can repeat what others have said :).

Nice report. Find a better game to write about. A minimap would help. Also the title gif makes me nauseus. All of these are complaints on my reports as well so don't feel bad. Keep up the good work.
And oh yeah, Ricky Martin is the dreamiest!! |

When I read this, it felt like I wsa reading something by YourRoleModel. The imitation was ~perfect~.
You've obviously got the picture skills to make nice ones. Now you get to try using them in weird new ways that no one's thought of, and getting yelled at cause "these pix suk"
heh. On a serious note, when using pix with the ALIGN tag, give the pix a little room on each side, so they're not right flush with the text, 'cause it makes the text hard to read.
A very nice effort, but you need to add some creativity to the mix, and you'll be pulling in 10's.

| Yeah, i whooped teck. WORSHIP ME!!! Heheh. BTW, you should have added in that this was a rematch ( I rocked Teck in the 1st match too, though). Nice pictures. You have no idea how much my self esteem went up seeing my name in that HUGE font =-]. You forgot to mention that I was already on hive level tech and was about to send a squad of gaurdians in at him. =-[. You only had about 3 minor errors in the report. No biggie. I do think you should have had a picture of my 36 hydras holding the ramp..that was cool. Thx for writing the report =-] |

Forgot one thing...
The only major back-and-forth battle was over that expansion in top-left. I killed it, he took it back, then i attacked again and held it. Then he came in and almost killed me. then i reinforced it. Then he came back on a suicide run just before conceeding. The only thing teck did wrong was expanding so far away from his base, I mean, that was the farthest possible expansion he could have expanded to. |

| Just want to say, Grr's build works if you have a gimmie to expand to. And I really think that gimmie better have gas to justify the risk. Also don't even think about using that build if your micro stinks. You need some fancy micro to get you out of trouble early. (The "your and you" in above doesn't really mean you, drunkensailor, but refering to the user) |

I really think there is very little risk involved in the quickie expand strat since 2 hatches making zerglings>2 gateways making zealots. Add in 1-2 sunkens as back-up and you're set.
The only place micro is needed is zergling dancing to and from sunkens to get free hits off zealots and slow them down from killing the morphing sunkens. By this i mean not either making the zealots chase zerglings around and not hit anything while sunkens inevitably morph or the zealots attack the morphing sunkens while zerglings do hit and runs forcing the zealots do take their attention away from the sunkens.
Sounds complex but really, it isn't. The last time that I lost the expansion to a basic zealot rush I was a newbie still =-].
Though on Rivalry it only adds 5 minerals, I still think it's easily worth the low risk factor. |
