Turrets build much faster than wraiths and golaiths. Besides which, four golaiths had been built. And if you're in the threatened command center, you'll throw down anything you can =).
The wraiths didn't cloak because previous scans of the Protoss fleet had shown plenty of observers in the area. I forgot to put that in the dialouge (not the scans, the explanation).

I LOVE THESE STORIES! Please, keep up the good work! And actually, you DID mention in one of the previous chapters that there were four observers following the carriers around, and the commander wouldn't let them send in the wraiths earlier to help against the carriers. What I DON'T understand is why, especially if he's mineral-light, he didn't try making a few ghosts with lockdown to stop the damn carriers in their tracks. I love doing that :)

i've come up with 7 possible endings......
1. The Legion recieve reinforcements from elsewhere.
2. The Zerg fight the Protoss off.
3. The Protoss kick the Legions A$$.
4. The Zerg kick the Legions A$$.
5. The Zerg and the Protoss kick the Legions A$$.
6.A freak hurricane kills all the Zerg and Protoss air units.
7. The Legion make all the buildings take off, and sandwitch the Protoss and Zerg fleets.
As any experianced Starcraft player would know the only possible ending would be, number 7. On many occasions i have stopped a zergling rush by dropping my command center on their heads, and when you get two barracks on either side of Protoss fleet, watch out for the mess it makes(of the Protoss fleet). So the Legion will just kill the Zerg and Protoss off with all their flying buildings =).

lol.....can it be possible that ALL the endings happen =)....like reinforcments arrive, then get their @$$e$ kicked by toss, which get kicked by zerg and they all come back to attack and get hit by the hurricane, but they are only heavily damaged and don't die so the Legion lift-off their buidings and squish 'em =) heh heh....well, just a suggestion....
i really think it's kinda cheap that the Legion doesn't get the BW tehnologies....
Anything that's about Phoenix Legion rules and anything by Praetor rocks.

I'll take any comment Kefka! That was an excellent game, though I might add that I've had better FFA games. But only because I've played a ton. You've never truly experienced StarCraft, until both players in an 8-FFA ladder game give up the points because it is, after all, a draw.

Not within the Chronicles story line, Nate. The main Phoenix Legion story is a full novel, and I have general plot-lines for two sequels should I choose to write them. Chronicles takes place during the second novel, but before the Legion steals UED tech (probably also second novel).
But that's WAY in the future. |

Just though I'd add another comment today, thos one a bit more serious than the last.
Crazylisk's mini review of the series:
Just the way the whole series is written is excellent, trying to change a battle into fiction would be hard. But you have managed to do a great job in working out tatics for the Legion and the three enemies. I like it how you are able to put together logical conclusions, for example the building all the turrets for defence. I've actually seen people do this in real games, and building SV due to left over gas. I'd never be able to work something like that out(so I don't). The descriptions are well done, helping to draw the reader into the story.
The only problem is the ammount of time between parts, but it's all worth while in the end. Especially with the other to pieces up at the Legacy sites.
On another note the Legoin, should fill a barracks up with gas, fly it into the middle of the toss fleet, detonate the barracks, blow the toss fleet to pieces.
It's time like these when I bet the Legion would love to be able to spend the gas on ghosts, with LOCKDOWN!!!!

And thank you Crazylisk, I do try to put some thought into what tactics are used by each competitor. As a matter of fact, I've changed much of the later tactics, because moves that would lead up to the scenarios I initially envisioned just didn't make sense. |

I think that the illustration of say, a junked carrier taking out a land bridge is not to far from the realm of Starcraft. In fact, it does help (in my opinion), make the battle seem, well, more real (as real as fiction gets), and of course, changes 'battle tactics.'

When I found this supplement story to Phoenix Legion last night I read this entire story all 10 chapters for an hour and a half.
