BTW I picked terran, I didnt random to it. And your right I coulda killed him faster. I was just being careful.. hehe I spent a lot of micro containing him at his ramp. I figured with 4 expansions to his zero, I'd win no matter what he did. |

As JV said, he took terran.. he said he wanted to play a "good" toss player. (apparently I fooled him in two 2v2 games where I teamed with him earlier where I played EXTREMELY well)
Well my race is terran.. I'm not very skilled at protoss.. and heavy metal always kills me. So I thought I'd try an early exp and see how that worked out. Maybe I should have took a different base that was further away, but my plan was to build gateways and stuff there and justrally troops from my main to my exp, and use it as a staging area. But we'll never know because Johnny got that bunker up. ;) (I saw it JUST as it was completing - doh!)
Against heavy metal on Rivalry, I'm going to try early expand again. I just know if I play it normally out of one base, I get spanked. As Heartcutter has said, you'll fall flat on your face many times before achieving something worthwhile..so who knows?
Oh, and 1 fbat > 8 probes. sniff. Man, I need to get in a BR where I *win*. :) |

D'oh, JV switched from Random to Terran and I missed it... I thought he was truly gambling. Guess I'd better keep my eyes peeled next time.
And about the "-p" thing, this is a mistake on my part. It was originally just a "-" as in "This isn't just ill advised - it's plain losing." I wanted to use the extra long hyphen (is that how it's spelled?) and used the "alt"-key. It worked on my machine, and I didn't spot it when I previewed the report. If anyone of the admins feel like it, feel free to replace every "-p" with a plain old vanilla "-"... oh, you can remove that comment about an animated Nuke-GIF too while you're at it ;)

| Oh, and thanks to Mark4 for giving me the idea for the 8-probe drop. ;) It was hilarious from my end although I'm sure Johnny wasn't amused. Sad but true fact: I think I killed more units with probes that game than I did with actual melee units. |

good except for the "Toss owns terran" sarcastic remark, what are you a moron? No one game can prove or disprove imbalance; it's from hundreds of games that you can draw your conclusion. And my conclusion is that on LT, protoss own terran and terran have a small advantage over zerg.
I want to say that balance is defined as no advantage by race-matchup with players at equal skill, but Brood War has put a lot of luck into the equation too.
On many maps, Brood War is near balanced. I feel on River Styx and Hunters it is close to balanced, except when zerg draw a no-gas exp, then they have trouble with terran |
