I still don't know how to get the pics to be clearer...can anyone help? I'm using PaintShop Pro. Also you can notice in the pics that I have a lot of money in the bank, I probably could have supported another pair of factories or maybe made some ghosts or something. Ah well, I was too busy micro-ing my tanks I guess.

Strong.

If you are using JPEG's then just set the compression lower, the default is 15 try setting it to 10. The file size isn't much bigger.

Love the br, read like a great story.

Sounds like the protoss guy coulda used some Dweb =)

I loved the report except I really feel like I missed mid game. One second your taking your natural, the next he has 60 goons in the middle. Still, other than that I really got what was going on. Which just made it that much more apparent that the mid game description was sort of lacking.

Your right Mark4, but midgame was kinda lacking in a real sense...it basically consisted of me pumping tanks and gols and scanning everywhere and him massing goons and templar...kinda gay, but I dropped him a couple times and nothing much else happened until the big fight at the end. After which he gave up.

And he tried to dweb some, but it was kind of ineffectual as for every tank or two that he got with it there were tons of others shooting and more coming out of the factories constantly. Also the gols kept the sair away pretty well. But yeah he definitely should have webbed some more.

Wow, that battle in the middle sounded really apocalyptic. I too found the transition kinda abrupt but if nothing really happened midgame I can understand. You just might want to say something like 'There was a silence over the battlefield as both commanders built up huge armies' or some other such nonsense. :)

I definitely would have made some zealots in there instead of 60 goons. The advantage of zealots is that they cause tanks to splash each other and also the support (goliaths in this case). Storm isn't that great if he spreads out his tanks. And goons die pretty badly to tanks I must say.

However, 36 tanks and 24 goliaths is a lot and maybe even zealots wouldn't have worked very well. In that case you're gonna need carrier/corsair. Web the goliaths and destroy everything with carriers.

ok. I may not be an expert according to wins with toss, but I know some pretty nice strats(and I mean pretty nice). Ok. First of all, he should've gone goons. Goons>all terran units except tanx. Ok. Then how do you take out the tanks? First of all, you need goons. And lots of resources. Bring in a large squad of goons and dtemps, and temps. The temps take out mass tanks while the goons are taking the heat. He should've never let you get that many tanx and gols. Just use goons and templars, and then blow the crap out of every fucking terran unit.

p.s. TOSS>TERRAN I hate all these games where toss loses. Willzzz is a perfect example. He played persian, and persian lost to a DROP. C'mon, be a little smart. You shouldn't lose a game to one drop. You should pump out about 12 zealots and 12 dragoons and I guarantee that drop is dead stone cold style. Then, just expand more than the terran player, and the game is yours.

I thought it was a good read... the battles were descriptive and i could really tell what was going on. He must have had some pretty crappy recon to come at you with all those goons when you had 3 control groups of tanks.

Oh well, nice game.

I admit a good toss can be trouble for a terran player...but NightShade you said that, in my previous report, the guy should have made temps. Well this guy had a dozen and they didn't even faze my push for a second. I ran over those 12 templar like they weren't even there. A smart terran will micro pairs of tanks and rape your templar all day long AND he'll be able to dmatrix the front tanks at the same time. Face it goons get raped once tanks get in numbers of 8 or more and there's not a damn thing they can do about it. Goons <<<< Tanks. If I got 30+ tanks it's gonna take 4-5 control groups of zealots with psi storm support to take me out. Ever since they lowered the price of goons and gave 'em range the zealots have been really underused. IMHO these are required in any battle vs. the other races. Against a toss you can get away with making no zealots and maybe zerg but you're just asking to get raped by a good terran or zerg. Any toss experts want to comment?

DT/Zealot mix is the best for taking out tanx......at least that what all the goldy toss players do.
#11 T_Mac (on-tor-blr-a58-01-562.idirect.com)[18903]
I dont know how good you are nightshade, but i'll assume you suck. Cmon, goons vs tanks? SCOUTS BABY!
#12 T_Mac (on-tor-blr-a58-01-562.idirect.com)[18904]
Hehe, i just read the br, goliaths, doh! I was joking of course, who actually builds scouts? Anyways, trying to fight THIRTY SIX tanks with goons is DUMB, speedy zeals baby!
#13 Rupeo (1Cust87.tnt26.sfo3.da.uu.net)[18943]
I play terran, but Id have to agree that if he was even approaching you in producion speed upgraded zealots should take out those tanks, even if it is with heavy losses. Damn though, thats a lot of tanks.

Sure Goonz are at a disadvantage to a siege tank. However, the protoss strength is not one unit but the combined arms. A nice mixture of Goonz, zealots, corsair (with webbing), with a DT or 2 or 3 templar. (actually I would have used archons and dark archons). Use Archons to close the range, with zealots, goonz, and DT. Maybe a mind control of a lead siege tank and web (lose a few corsair) the tanks in the rear. Of course thatz alot of micromanage. Reavers, a few DT and/or zealots, and corsairs webbing tanks might have made a diff. Then again the Terran player looked to be on his game... spreading out the siege tanks. The Toss player might have tried to disrupt his supply line.

P.S. Misdirection can win battlez if the enemy thinkz you will attack an area and has forcez to defend and has less to attack you with

#15 +AnathemA+ (1Cust47.tnt9.phoenix.az.da.uu.net)[19075]
ummmm... boyd... perhaps you need to stop, evaluate ur writing style altogether, and then get rid of it, the "z" thing MUST stop. Angyl, report was very nice.
