I saw the final game. Toss v Toss on Temple. Both guys mass up Goons. Maynard gets driven back to his base, and the other guy gets DT's. Now, Maynard has an observer, and his base is still fully intact, but he concedes the game anyway simply because the other guy had DT's. I didn't fully understand this. He got breathed on and quit. He was behind, and maybe he still would have ended up losing anyway, but sheesh! Try SOMETHING! Don't just give up! Try to get an expansion on the other side of the map or something. Maynard's a great player, I still think he could have pulled something off, but he just got flustered and quit. He didn't GG, he didn't surrender, he just got up from the computer. It was almost two full minutes before Brad even realized what happened. I was tempted to jump in there and start playing for him, because his situation wasn't THAT bad yet. Someone else was saying, "Come on, let's take a group picture" and he's like "In a minute, I said!!"
But I did learn quite a bit from watching over his shoulder. At one point in a different game he had like 5 expansions, and 9 gateways all pumping Goons. Quite a sight.

Now, what woulda been a real hoot was if maynard's goons were on attack move to brad's base, and somehow won.
