Ouch, I thought I was going to get first comment, in school nonetheless. Damn YOU MOG!!
#3 Capt.Caveman (out-70-7.ops.org)[21719]
Well, this report was unique in every way. I get third comment. <--Does that mean a damn?

I mean if you get third comment people expect less of you. So if you have low expectations,
when you do something good you get praised that much more, then if you get a lesser comment
like 4th(which is likely since I cant stop typing) people wont care because you suck anyways.

Well get some pictures next time =D

See ya all around!!

By the way, your report sucked ass. Next time try .... at the very least, paragraphs. You need better spelling. A better writing style. Also, you should try to br better games.

/me tries red font for name, yay

well instead of just insulting you I'll point out some of your mistakes

"I started off in channel Grid, waiting for someone to show. Shuji_Takemura, showed he had won about 50 games, but had lost 30."

This could have been something shorter like: "his record had 50 wins and 30 losses"

"Anyway I started out at the 6:00 psn and he started at the 12:00 psn"

"psn"? Last I heard the word was "position" (or something very close). Do not use abbreviations in your reports, it looks bad. Abbreviations are designed to save typing time but you aren't looking to save time, you are trying to get the best report you can. Think about it this way: you are one person, each abbreviation saves you a little bit of effort. However maybe one hundred people will read your report. Reading shortened versions of words actually takes more work because your brain has to think for a tenth of a second or so. So 100 x 0.1 equals ten seconds. Did you save ten seconds by abbreviating? No? Then it wasn't worth it.

"After I had got my 8th drone, I set in motion theh sacrificing of his body for a spawning pool."

This is too long and elaborate. If you are going for one of those story reports then yeah you have to do stuff like this but I don't think that is what you were going for. Instead you should have said that you 8 pooled or made a spawning pool with your eighth drone.

"to set exploring."

While I think this is grammatically correct (as in you set them to exploring mode) it isn't what you want to say. You sent them exploring, not set

"About 30 sec. later those 'lings were reinforced by another set of my lings, and were pounding away at his hatchery, drones and extractor."

using "sec." was a really bad move, not only was it an abbreviation but the period made it look like the sentance was ending.

Note: I probably spelled words incorrectly in this comment so I don't want anyone saying something dumb like "shut up u, and lern to spell yourself before u go commenting on others"

Well, for an all-text report it really wasn't that bad. It just wasn't that good. Follow these tips.

1. You've got accurate reporting down. Now follow up with correct grammar and spelling.

2. Keep your report on topic. If something does not add to our understanding and enjoyment of the game, it shouldn't be in there.

3. Short, simple and clear sentences always help the reader enjoy your report.

4. Make your report fun. Report good games and make it clear why they were fun to play in.

Basically, for a first report this wasn't that bad. You've got the basics of reporting down, which is more than most people writing their first reports can demonstrate. Now all you have to do is write it so that people will want to read it.
