| Map reminded me off a perfect hunters on twilght setting. Nice win though, can't beleive they feel before Dark Templars that early, heh, they didn't sound like they were to formidable of foes. I say 6.0 on the BR though, why, cause I wasn't in to it, too one sided. |

You have a nice writing style but you really need to find better games to report. These guys were jokes and this battle was totally one-sided. Not to mention the mucho money foolishness... Mucho money is bad, bad, <i>very</i> bad<i>!!</i>

Not bad, but you might want to try reporting a more interesting game and as an observer. Really not exciting to just hear about your build order. Everyone elses. Like you partner said they were going to use wraiths. As an observer you would know this. You did o.k. notice not everyone is bashing you into the ground. 5.5

| yeah I realize that it wasnt a good game but it was fun so I reported on it. As for the mucho money map it wasnt my fault because I didnt even know the map. Besides it was better than the other games I played that day. |

When commenting on this report this report please keep in mind the following:
1. they werent really newbies they could have had a chance if I hadnt used that early drop and justcallmebob could have held out a long time if his turrets were on the inside of his choke so the tanks could just blast my dark templar.
2. I know my next report will be better and I intend to use titles on each paragraph, commas, and also some of my tactics which ive been writing in my notebook for a long time.
3. These guys were focusing on air defence nothing my ally had would have broken through even dweb because there were just too many turrets.
4. They were idiots but they were nice guys too so please stop bashing them.
5. Im still learning how to report as you may have noticed this one is much better than my first even though it is mucho money. |

Mucho money map plus two turtling terrans = pathetic newbie match.
The fact that your ally had to do all the scouting while you hid in your
pathetic base speaks volumes of your own skill. (couldnt even see an
offensive bunker at his own choke) Newbies vs Newbie != good match.
A simple early zealot+dt rush and this would have been a three minute
game. |

Nova, I appreciate your wanting to defend a couple nice guys. But let's face it. These guys really did suck. I'm not all that great myself - probably an average, maybe slightly below even, player myself. But trying to defend the skills of anybody who spends ALL their resources on "turrets lining their bases" and no defense is like trying to defend Jeffrey Dahmer by saying he didn't know about the body parts in his fridge :). It just won't work.
And even I could figure out that putting one stupid turret up behind the depots while the DT's were attacking would have ended that threat. Hell, even a few scv's just sitting there repairing would probably have kept them out.
They may have been nice, but even I could have beaten them :P |

Like Dref, I say you have good style, and I think you can do some good reports if you are more discriminating about the battles you report on.
But don't let all these guys scare you away. Doing BGH battlereports will get you some bashes from the raters on this site and most of the people who frequent here, but there can be interesting games on BGH maps that are worthy of reporting. Drefsab has proved this, although he hates BGH maps, but his series of reports were awesome.
Personally, I think battlereports.com should make some way for people to do BGH map BRs without pissing everybody off, including the person who writes the BR because he gets so bashed.
But everyone is right about 1 thing, your opponents were definately newbies.
1 tip: if your pics are going to be at the bottom of the BR then make references to them inside the text so we can refer to pics of the action at appropriate spots. Also, your thoughts on strategy and action will always improve your BR. This is why Dref, YRM, et al can produce such kick-ass reports. That and some ungodly ability to make you laugh your nuts off.

There's a little button on the left sidebar called "Reporting Guides." Now I'm sure CattleBruiser, Mark4, YourRoleModel and PhiberOptik had a great time writing them, but more than a handful of battlereports posted here could have benefitted from one or all of these reporting guides. Maybe placing the button elsewhere would lead more people to press it.
Nice report. You have potential.
About BGH reports: M4, JV, YRM. How about creating a separate section of battlereports dedicated solely to BGH/edited maps? I think we'll all enjoy it - the BGH fanatics/supporters as well as the rest of us. I mean, why not have a laugh every now and then?

Set these facts aside and I will tell you that you have definitely improved. Your writing style, unlike a lot of reporters I can think of that post here, is very readable.
If you are more selective about the games you report on, your future reports definitely have a chance to improve.
Just wanted to re-emphasize these points. Reading critisms in comments can help you improve your skill and find out what report readers are looking for. Even if some of the criticsm is non-constructive. Don't get pissed, just keep trying. You are obviously trying and I think you can improve. Have you looked through the battle report guides on this site yet. That helps.

id like to thank the people that wrote comments even though some were critisisms Yes it was a BGH map and they were newbies but I thought it was worth reporting and after I find a good game I will report and hopefully get better comments.
OH yeah and to TheOwner listen yeah they were newbies and you zealot and dark templar wouldnt have worked because of all the damn bunkers and turrets at his choke they would have mowed those zealots down like grass. And the pathetic base comment, all im goona say is that it served my purposes and i won didnt I. And I did all the scouting dipshit Im the one who seen their bases my ally just found the chokes. Im not a newbie and ive played against and won people with 100 plus wins and few losses. Besides ive never seen one of your reports. Your the pathetic one. |
