| A word of warning about Killer to anyone here: he seems to like doing things like annoying you until you play against him just to shut him up... When you actually do so and you're about to finish him, he'll save the game, saying he has to leave. Then he'll make up some crap about how he had two expansions running and defended when he really had none (or so said Mr. Comsat 30 seconds beforehand). Obviously he couldn't do this with an observer present, but that was my experience with him. Rather than wasting your time, I reccomend squelching him if he starts bothering you. |

As usual, a great report with 'interesting' strats.
One thing I noticed btw, getting around spam is very easy in the comments section realy. Once I noticed the trend, I scrolled down till things looked different. I probably spent 1/20 the time getting back to reading normal reports then this guy did getting banned if not 1/100. *shrug*
Dref does deserve a +100 comment report, though, if by more proper means; he's earned the right to be a comment whore :P. |

Good br. I gotta play McNasty sometime. I'm trying out a new strat... "mass maynarding" It should kick containment's ass. Anyways, McNasty doesn't seem that great. I've seen 1200 players who don't even use terran play better than him with terran.

| Well, not that I like slandering people, but... two comments. NewbieMcNasty has consistently impressed me with his sportsmanship whenever we have played or talked in the channel. For the record, we are 1-1, and from what I can see he deserved the ladder rating he achieved. Second, I would agree with another poster that [fe]killer.on.486 seems like an irritating jerk... After I repeatedly made it very clear I wanted no observers in my games he kept showing up. I, of course, banned him. Well, when he finally did get in a game I was playing in but didn't make, I left :). He whispered "fuck you"... What is with that? Why can't some NH people simply respect your request not to have observers? (killer.on may be the worst but is hardly the only culprit in this respect.) |

For the record, just from observing this game, I don't think that Newbie's containment would have held if Killer had thrown his first 10 goons at it. He had land mines and the bunker to worry about, but he probably could have attacked before the tanks arrived. I still can't figure out what the hell he was planning to do... his hold build and strat just looked really newbieish to me.
I also found it interesting that Newbie was producing troops out of 1 factory and 1 barrack for the first 8-10 minutes of the game.

I have tried containment a couple of times and it does suck. You seem to forget what is going back homw, hence the reason I bet newbie had only one Rax and one factory out. Just my observation. Good report. You and nobody are the first two i look for when I load up battle reports.

Yes, what is the deal with the gate/gate/forge stuff? I'd like to hear Killer's thoughts on why he did this, it seems kinda suicidal to me.
AxeGrinder: About 1fac, 1rax, I believe the idea is that you save up some money to expand fairly early, then put down another 3 facts or whatever. If you're able to set up containment against Toss at his doorstep, it's pretty much game over barring anything super surprising (such as drops in undefended main bases), so it is DEFINITELY worth the micro. Just hotkey your fact/rax and set the rally point to your containment zone, or build more facts at your containment.
