"What the hell is that" demanded Kessler, Captain of the 'Remorseless'.
"Uhh... it appears to be the Silencer, Captain" replied ensign Swann.
"What?!, we... but we just destroyed her didnt we?" exclaimed the Captain in shock.
For a few moments the bridge was silent except for the sounds of the crew working
the ships controls and sensor arrays, trying to get a lock on the elusive enemy ship.
"Captain, we have detected a harmonic field around the Silencer, it appears she has enabled
her shields" reported a crewman on the bridge.
"Multiple contacts, we have multiple contacts- she has deployed interceptors" exclaimed another.
"Move us into attack position, turn this ship around" Commanded the Captain.
Lights and klaxons sounded, indicating the damage the Remorseless was taking from the huge swarm
of interceptors. On the main screen, the image of the Vindicator, one of the remorseless' sister ships,
exploded under the relentless onslaught. Distress calls from the few escape-pods that managed to escape went unheeded.
"Captain, if you come now, i beilive we can get you out on an escape-pod" said the ship's Security officer.
"Are you mad? I cant tell Fleet command that i have lost the finest ship in the Navy!" raged the captain.
"We have weapon lock on the silencer captain" announced Ensign swann.
"Tertiary side-cannon is still operational, and ready to fire, all other weapons systems are non-operational", added another crew member.
"Fire, Fire already dammit!" lashed the captian.
Just at that moment- time seemed to slow down- if not stop altogether. Movement seemed so slow- as if the air was thick like gelatin. The bridge seemed to light up with an ethereal blue radiance that come with nowhere. all too suddenly, blueish purple bolts of psionic energy lashed through the bridge. Equipment exploded, imploded, or began to melt. Blood sprayed forth from the eyes and ears of the crewmen, and the captain's face first became distorted, then exploded like an overripe melon.
Back aboard the Silencer, Darosanum and Dulok were pleased at their Executor's display of psionic prowess. Allowing the the arrogant terrans to beilve they had destoyed them, then cloaking and moving into battle position, and in a final show of glory, he single handedly incinerated the Remorseless' bridge with a powerfull storm of psionic fury.
The executor unfurrowed his brow, and ceased his concentration.
