The medic jokes were cute, but there wasn't much else. No, I'm NOT saying flashy html or pictures, though those could be used. Just more style, or...something.
As for the game itself, a zerg with 1 exp is about even with a terran with just a main base. In late game, the zerg is FAR behind. That's one reason why you having no expansions won over his expanding ways. The other is that, simply put, hatchery units don't cut it. In fact, only hive units and lurkers can realy tear up a proper terran- at least enough for the basic units to finish up. The fact that he didn't lurker contain you or rush you basicly gave you the game. Also there wasn't much micro in the game; just a few drops. You basicly picked a better set of units and, by the sound of it, faced very poor macro.
Perhaps that was the problem; no suspence. Once we all saw that he was still at hatchery tech when you were ready to drop we all saw it was over. Other reporters that have no suspence aim more for comedy (i.e. dref's BGH series) or a theme that keeps the mindless masses like myself entertained :P.
Keep trying, though. You have promise. Just leave off the overall general comments unless the game was against a strong player. | | #5 T_Mac[34133] | | ts7-71t-36.idirect.com | | This was crusty :/ | | #6 Sid6.9[34175] | | 1Cust90.tnt9.tacoma.wa.da.uu.net | This game reminded me of one I played awhile back. My friend decided to try to hyper expand much like this gentleman did, and decided not to attack me at all in the early going. I was Terran, and because I'm not the greatest with them, he felt confident I wouldn't attack. But dropships behind all his mineral lines killed him, heh heh. Just stuck them all behind his mineral lines and the lings and hydras couldn't properly get to them, kept them on hold at all his expansions and he couldn't mine at all. Even the lurkers he had didn't work as I started to drop tanks everywhere.
Moral of the story- Early expanding may give you that much needed boost in getting ahead of your foes, but if you are playing a person that attacks early and often, then early expansions is risky, especially if you forsake a good defense in favor of getting alot of expos
Nice report, I can see that you will only get better and better at reporting. Remember too, it's not how good the players are, it's how good you can shine them up to look good. Heh heh I should know, cause I'm not a great player, and I have to shine myself up all the time ha ha ha. |
