The report could have done with a lot more explanation of what units did what and why you were building them. What does the starting tech level do, stuff like that. IT also helps if you describe the map more.
I got the sense that it wasn't a particularly good game (eg the 30 minutes spent building up with neither of you doing anything, the fact that he never launched a real offensive at you, etc...)
Saying things like 'needless to say my RPGs shred him [his forces]' isn't really very useful when we have no idea about how many RPG's you had, what his forces consisted of, how the two armies were positioned, etc.

What? I understood that last three words of that paragraph. I'm not saying its a good game, I'm just reviewing it. Anyway, if people just come in and cuss TS out, why do they even have a section for it? I mean, I'd get banned from the site if I said Starcraft sucked in an SC report.
The game's quality is not on question here. My report is. If you dislike it, that's your option, but don't bring up the program itself.

Okay... One thing about TS guys... Builing up takes FOREVER... I had been playing the C&C games since the original came out, and I was frankly, EXTREMELY dissapointed in TS, as were many, MANY others. Mainly, they put in the slowest builidng times, movement rates, etc. I had EVER seen. This was all in an attempt to eliminate the tank rush... Which I felt was a not that good of a strategy to begin with. If they doubled speed for the harvasters, and increased all build times by say... 50% then TS would be a total kick ass game... But untill then... It blows donkey !@#$.

HomeWorld is nothing special, its just that last year sucked for games, nothing *really* fantastic was released in the pc games department.

Actually I have Tiberium Sun, I got really pissed and quit playing when my version was screwed and I couldnt ally in multiplayer, frankly, the AI is shit...
And homeworld offers MANY more tactical and strategic possibilities than SC and/or BW... You can attack from above, below, execute very good tactical manevuers, keep attacking from random directions to keep your enemy on guard and nervous, and launch HUGE as hell grand offensives.... with "Doom Fleets" that could make the biggest BGH carrier fleet look like a wraith to the carriers... Basically what Pika_Flare is in skills to the average SC player, absolutely shit 8() *j/k Pika*.
Overall *IMHO* HomeWorld is a much more fun and involving game requiring much more strategy... you can just build 50 deystroyers and rush over your enemy, as you can with equivilent untis in Starcraft. You cant usually just use numbers, although if you have a computer that can handle them they are never a bad thing... If you hit them with a swarm of deystroyers you'll probably regret it, especially against the minefield happy players like me... It is very amusing to hear my friend start cussing on the phone while we are playing vs. each other *he has 2 phones lines, so do I* when his "Doom Fleet" has many many small orange dots suddenly slam into it and I laugh at his entire fleet going down...
Oh yes minelayer 'vettes are good assault units... I killed an enemy carrier in a carrier only game type with a quick rush of those, it took less than 1 minute for my 10 minelayer 'vettes to deystroy it... They couldnt kill them fast enough to stop the huge wave of mines 8)

| Actually, I really enjoyed this report. Not too many needless descriptions or pretentious theorising. Laughing with ya at your poor opponent, who did seem to do well defending his base but got outresourced. |
