While it wasn't an epic battle by any means, and it was a fairly short game. I think it's a good example of breaking out of a terran's containment. That's why I did the report.
Perhaps you're right, not a 9. But isn't it refreshing to read a report without "gay" "gosu" and "chobo" popping up every two sentences? :-) |

Oh, I wasn't aware that in order for a battle report to be good it requires "well known" players.
You're right. Playing somebody nobody knows automatically subtracts 2 from the rating. I guess for my next report I'll call up Zileas and we can duke it out.
Oh, and I think everybody needs to chill out just a bit. I didn't write the report to get a good rating. I wrote it because I thought it was informative. Stop being so concerned about what rating your battle reports get and write them for fun.

I think protest_boy has the exact right idea, whenever this stuff stops being fun (either playing or BRing) because you are to uptight about winning or getting the best rating, just leave because you drag down everybody else with your negative 'tude.

| Hmmm... I thought it was a good battle report. The match wasn't exactly the best though, and like some others said, if you get some "celebreties" to play, it would be perfect. In fact, usually cool games with 3 or 4 players are interesting, rather than the classic 1v1. I enjoy matches like "battle of the races." Good job though! :D |

Great Report. Finally a good text-only BR comes out. And considering this is only your first, it makes it even better. Great writing, considering you were not observing the match and could not see your opponents build order etc.

| Umm... So you're saying that you beat off a control group of Wraiths with nearly a control group of mutalisks? =) I haven't really tried this since, from what I know, Mutas usually get raped by Wraiths unless they have Dev support. |

| Wraiths only do half damage, and I'm too lazy to see how many Mutas he said he had. It was a good report, easy to read and download (I have a 33.6). I always feel bad when terrans get beaten though (being of that race last time I checked). |

| This was a VERY good read, but not worth a 9. Heartcutter's terran strats were good, included pics, changed terran a little bit, and only got 3's for his deep 6 strat, while getting 7's and 8's when he inlcuded a game. How does this get a 9? |

You don't need "gosu" players to make battle reports. Sometimes, games from semi-gosu players can be very enjoying and thrill-filled.

I agree with those of you who think "celebs" aren't necessary to make an interesting Battle Report. I definitely enjoyed this one, very entertaining and descriptive writing, it was a good read.
And whether you think it was worth a 9 or not, it was given a 9 by the reviewers... |

Hey, good BR. Just a few comments on the strats you put to work there...
whenever i'm in that kinda situation (early expansion at natural, with some terran slut bunkering me etc) i usually make him THINK i'm going for lurkers by making a lair and hydra den in my main, so that when they scan that's what they see. However, what they don't see is my hidden spire morphing at my natural. so then they waste their time making turrets and stuff outside your natural, and get more tanks in order to prepare for your "lurkers." which sux for them, since tanks parked away from home rarely kill 8 or 9 mutas in their mineral lines =)
i also get ventral sacs asap so i can take an island expansion, and harass their main with a pack of mutas (as mentioned above). it almost always works. if you're afraid of using only mutas on a terran, get the speed upgrade for your ovies too and drop some other units in there. their main bases are rarely well defended when they're bunkering you, and most of the time they don't notice that you managed to snag an island since they're concentrating on your natural or on your mutas.

| i think this was a good report protest boy, i liked it and i always have a ton of troubles w/ terran containment, just what i was looking for, i'll have to try this next time |
