| ummm... first report, ok. Read through it anyway and fix the grammar and spelling mistakes at least. Next time, it also might be worth the wait to find a game worth reporting on. This wasn't really an epic battle or anything most of us could learn from. Lessons learned: Don't have a carrier be your first offensive unit? That's already a given. There were a few nice attempts to make an interesting writing style, but it needs a lot of work. BR better games in the future. |

i agree that my grammer sux and i cant spell. and i know the game kind was onesided but hey i think i did fairly well considering i wrote at 1:00 in the morning on a school night, and i was tired and my ass hurt from sitting in the damn chair. not that im bitching.

Feh. CHECK YOUR GRAMMAR, PEOPLE! This was just painful to read. If you can't write a decent BR at 1:00 in the morning with an aching ass, maybe you should WAIT TILL LATER! This BR really had no redeeming qualities:
1) The game sucked.
2) No pictures.
3) No successful attempts at humor.
4) Atrocious writing style.
And this will make me sound like an arrogant American asshole, but: if your ability to write English is SO limited that you can't make yourself understood by those of us for whom it's a native language, either polish up your skills or write BRs in your native tongue. Personally, I doubt that any of these barely-legible reports are actually that way due to lack of expertise in the English language, but rather due to a lack of proofreading. Latin is not my first language. I can't speak fluently in Latin. But you can bet that if I wrote a BR in Latin that I was to post up here for everyone to read, I would PROOFREAD that mofo at least five times so I wouldn't have any glaring errors. Some people (like me, heh heh) can write English well enough to get away with not proofreading, and having only one or two minor typos in a BR. For those that can't, you might have to work at it a little more. Sorry, but that's how it goes.
I will say at this time that I thoroughly enjoy BRs by many people for whom English is not a first language, such as Lewis, because people like this WORK at their BRs and this is evident. Devil, I think you took about five minutes to do this. It's just an insult to people who work hard on their BRs, and to the people who come to this site.
My rant is done. Maybe it will spawn a nice long thread of discussion.

1)I totally agree with everything Baxtor said.
2)Why would you complain about writing it at 1:00am and having an aching ass? The only reason I can think of is that you realized how bad this report looks and decided to create a fake explanation in order to maybe not form a horrible reputation. ..... or.....
You really did write it at 1:00am while having an aching ass. If that is the case, then why did you do it?? Surely you must come to this site and see the many high-calibur reports posted. If and when I write a report you can bet your ass that I'll take the time to proofread it among other things.
3)If you're not going to have pictures, you sure as hell better have excellent and descriptive writing, as well as litte or no grammatical errors. (You did neither)

i have an excuse. i wrote it very late at night and i was real tired( i actually dozed off one and woke up and hour later) and i wanted to go to bed so i quickly typed the thing and i didnt bother to reread. and as for the game, bay wanted a br done so he coud look good(hehe and he lost)
i assure everyone that the next report will be done alot better and with PICS(thax to limpo for helping me understand) Now all i need is a GOOD GAME hehe |

- Don't write brs of games you might not think would go over well as a report.
- Don't write brs just because someone else wants you to. You puppet.
- Write your first draft when you're tired and want to get a report up so any useful, on-the-spot ideas that come to mind get into the report. Then when you wake up the next morning, you'll be able to go over, fix the mistakes, and have a few more on-the-spot ideas for the report even. This will get you a better score than ... well, whatever the raters hand you.
