Please read other good reports. Drefsab is a perfect example. You say the mutas attack, but where? How many did he have? Opted for legs instead of a forge? Does that mean he didn't have a forge? Or that he didn't get upgrades instead? You need to have more details, but looking at the other comments you already knew that.
You do have potential. But like I said go read some HOF reports. Especially from Dref or Mark they have a great writing style.

Not bad for a first report. It would have been nice if you had included quotes from all the smack gettin thrown out. Also, like everyone else said, more details would be nice (although I didn't have any real problems following the game).

<font color=yellow>you guys were way too hard on this guy. So he doesn't know html, but he posted "battle Shots" in a fasion modeled exactly after the ever-praised Heartcutter's reports.
He made it very clear and easy to follow, and I think its not fair to say he skipped detail. I really don't think he did.
Dref, I'm surprised to see such a snide remark from you of all raters... you were always my favorite for being the most open-minded, fair, and welcoming towards newcomers.
I think he desrves a 6, in addition to ecouragement to continue writing br's and honing the skill. thats encouragement he has from me. |

<li> I was confused with the abbreviation "lots". It only occured to me the next paragraph that you meant zealots. Zeals would've been better.
<li> Get a better game to BR. I have the idea that there are so many people that want to do a BR so badly that the 1st time they can obs a game they have to BR it. I, for myself, really want to do a good BR. But since I'm not waiting to be humiliated in the comments, wait for a really good game to BR. Damn, we can't be all like nobody or dref. Hell, we can't be all like Grrr, Maynard or whomever either.

The report had no detail, it was a horrible game, and the battle shots added nothing but download time.
I'm tired of the steady stream of bronze reports that have been flooding the site lately. I'm sorry, but I'm just about out of constructive criticism. If people don't want to go read the reporting guides, and if they don't read some good reports before posting, and they don't put time and effort into their reports, then in my opinion, they deserve a low rating.
Furthermore, I am obligated to rate reports in a fashion so that when someone visits the site and they don't have much time, they can read the best reports available on the front page. In my opinion, someone who wanted to read a BR during their lunch break would have felt cheated if they wasted their time on this report. That's why I gave it a 3.

I think a 3 is fair. But you have to understand some people become overly exicited about posting a BR without paying any attention to details (grammar, spelling mistakes, etc). A good example would be I after seeing your (Drefsab) Interactive report, I became motivated by your work and even wrote a BR during lunch break. I was merely trying to feel the surface of the water seeing how raters and other viewers would react to it. Turned out to be a big fiasco! If you guys are curious, go to report #2744 and find out.
I personally don't mind people writing bad first reports if they take people's advice and make improvements in their next br.

I think you did well on your battle report but you could have picked a better game.
This game sucked coz all the toss guy did was do mass zealots, a very newbie strategy in my opinion without any air defense/attack.
Good job though... just pick a better game.

Just a nitpicky comment on abbreviations such as 'Zeals' and 'lots', I don't think you should ever abbreviate in a battle report. Always spell out Zealots, Dragoons, Corsairs, etc. Just a clarity issue, I feel. In fact, avoid ANY abbreviations or misspellings unless you are intentionally being satirical.
