Why? I liked it. This is the sort of BattleReport that I couldn't write. For me to do one of these would take more effort that even the largest, most elaborate factual game.

| What? Big words...good though. Interesting stand point. I liked it. I can't beleive people keep track of how many times they get first comment. |

Philistines in the comment section! This was amazing Peon, very well written, a new standpoint, and excellent in that you could almost compare it to Vietnam, the way the soldiers were fodder, etc. This is the best, bar none, fan fic I've ever read. I like it more than I liked .Praetor's. Well done.

I liked it too, well written and with the right amount of detail.
CMag: I saw a 3on3 BGH "Beat some girls" game last night by "CynicalMagician". Was that you? I was tempted to join despite my anti-BGH stance :-). |

Wow. That was actually pretty good. Oh, and its 'faint' not 'feint'. Feint is a technique used in swordfighting to cause your opponent to lose his balance and be open to attack. Yeah. I'm done now.

I thought it was kinda interesting how it just told about a certain soldiers emotions (or lack of). I usually dont like fanfiction that much but this was pretty good stuff if you actually bother to read it. Good job,

I was playing a game of starcraft, and I put one of my marines near the lost temple, such that I could get advanced warning of an attack.
I realized as it sat out there alone on the minimap, that If the game was a real life war, that i had just committed one of the vilest acts known to man. This report took me just 1 hr to write, which isnt unusual for me, its like a stream of consciousness thing, with very little editing. Thanks again for all the praise. | It's not a vile act. It's a necesary one. Recon is vital to a commander. I used to be cav recon, or a scout. Of course, we were a little more like ghosts, in that we would try and remain unseen and not engage if possible. But still, our purpose was to give the commander the information he needed to fight the battle. Freely chosen. |

| cm-24-25-142-118.nycap.rr.com |
| It was vile in that I didnt care at all if he lived or died, as long as i got my information. Certainly recon is necessary, and I'm not going to venture forth into an argument about real life battle tactics with someone who is in the army... I just thought that if starcraft lore was true, that I had just taken someone who didnt sign in for service in the first place, but was forced into it, cracked up on drugs, and used in many cases against vastly better equiped, or robotic enemies, then that was vile. I knew he was going to die, and i put him there anyway. Presumably your scouting didnt involve a 100% chance of death. |

Pare, paano ba yan?
When I make a real-time strategy game, I'm gonna depict the harsh reality and futility of war. Gonna make it the bloodiest real-time strategy game ever! GORECRAFT! Lots of blood, pain, guts, more blood, HA HA HA HA!
Think of a lone marine. Think of him in despair cos he's so far away from his family and friends, disenchanted with his insignificance in the army, scared cos he lost his comrades and a stranger in a strange land.
He sees a ripple of 17 foot high spikes moving towards him. Last thing he says before he says is "Putang ina (son-of-a-wjore)" before he explodes in a mass of blood and intestines and brains and ... hmmm, makes me wanna go out and get "isaw" before dinner. |

Peon,
I enjoyed the report, especially how well you captured the feelings most terrans must feel-the lonliness of their colonies so far from home. I thought it would have been even more effective if it had been even more depressing. Writing like this adds to the game, as it provides the emotional state of the little pixels that fly across our screens. Thanks |

Peon i enjoyed this emmensly i read all of it...
At about the 2nd paragraph i realized what setting you were making and i realized i do this all the time..
I loved it... Although i think his death was a little rushed , you dove into detail with all the rest of the story but the ending seemed a little blunt and uninspired.
More please!.
