| Now I remember why I hated toss vs zerg. Lose 12 units at any point before 11-12 minutes and it's over. Lose your first couple templar and it's over. Miscalculate his troop count or expansions and it's over. |

Frankly The smart money is on Tillerman. Mark4 barely won his imbal matchup, whereas Tillerman utterly owned his. If its race v race, I give the nod to Tillerman.
BTW Mark, don't feel bad, Only a pro had a chance on that matchup. ZvT on temple (shuddders)...
Once again, as in GRB's report, Zerg > Toss. All toss units should have 1 more armour point. That way it drastically affects theyre game against Zerg, but not some much over Terran. Allow Irradiate to hurt more toss units, and take away some of the medics power and you've almost got a balanced game. Maybe in 1.08... |

this was a good game, and basically zerg has to mess up or not have an expand all over the place mentality for a toss to have a decent shot on temple =[ zlots need 800 hit points in 1.08, that's the only way to balance everything :P |

A hatch at every expansion huh? Maynard did the same thing to Pillars in i2e2. Most people are complaining about terran v toss but toss v zerg imbalance is completely overlooked. I hope it will be fixed in 1.08 but I doubt it.
Anyway, great report although a bit too short. Another flaw was that the result of the game was revealed when nobody said game 3 was needed, thus taking away the suspence. Honestly though, given the map and matchup, there hardly would be any suspence anyway, statue or no statue. (no offence to Mark4)

This makes me feel re-re-vindicated about Mark's "finish you off with probes" tactic in front of a hoard of observers oh so long ago.
It's fun to root both for and against Mark, but no matter the outcome, I'm drawn to this series like a fly to that blue zappy thing.
This isn't any old marque matchup, it's one of BR.com's best vs one of the best in the world, thus, intrigue!
I think you'll like Strifeshadow, Mark, as you can hide your warlocks in an Ambush Cellar Trap(TM) and spring them out behind the enemy after he engages your forces and throw down some shrapmetal on his candy ass.
BTW, I like the commentary style of report.

| i know what u mean plague, it is harder for pro protoss players vs pro zerg players, my friend a 1300 player, played toss vs smurf (maynard) and he overwhelmed my friend with as many expaisons as tiller did, my friend was totally impressed. Maynard just kept making hdyras in front of his choke, so even if 40 die to mass stomrs etc, 40 more will appear soon after |

Alright, Two Unknown players, like who is this Tiller guy? And Mark4? What kind of name is that? You guys should do a report of that awesome Activus guy, because he's so cool and sexy to be around... And Terran are too strong, I think that marines need to have 1/2 the range and 1/3 the firing rate to even things out against dragoons and hydras and such, it's just way too hard for a good protoss to beat a bad terran.
Anyway, this was all sarcastic for those who can't figure it out.

| Its been 2 months since ive been on bnet for more than 5 minutes but i finally got a chance to use my friends comp to c how the brood war community has turned out wether it has died or not and i c its the same ppl living their sheltered lives but u guys still believe in imbalance.. i dont know the exact post # but some 1 mentioned zerg > toss which isnt true at all. I played toss only and before i quit bw i was a winning rec vs every 1 on kali and bnet except testie we went 1-1 but just play carefully with toss and u can own... the trick is to play like u do on bgh and u will beat a zerg =) play around with goof around strats and u will find they own the standard strats that have been used since 1.05 |
