ive actually seen many good players do that slings. to my best guess the reason is, if u get gas first, you'll have much more gas than needed to build a goon by the time the cyb core warps in. if you get the cyb core first then gas, you'll have just the right amount of gas, but thats a guess

Not bad BR. But about the gas before core. I always do that. When my gas warps in then soon after that I start on a core. So when it's done, I can either get 2 goons, or get a citadel audin with no problem. To my best knowledge all top players get gas before core when they tech.
Anyway nice report! Rivalry ownz!!! Although I am surprised toss lost that quicky even though he had 1 expansions less. Usually toss is ok if they have 1 expansion less then zerg. Problem is when zerg gets 100 more expansions =]

This was a pretty good report. Details, pictures, HTML... Seemed to be lacking flair though. I can't really put my finger on it. It was a good report though, and despite what you say, the game wasn't too bad either.

Thanks for the critics. When I did the HTML (in Frontpage by the way :) I didn't know that the background wouldn't come out black as i had programmed it too, so I was kinda chocked when i did the preview =). Had to do some last minute changes to the table..
And for SlingsNArrows who wrote "WarLeaderJustin = this author foo".. you're wrong I am not that guy and I have never seen him either.
Anyway im glad most of you like the br, I'll look for a longer game next time.

Also about that gas thing, as you said when he got his cy core he must have had more gas than he needed to make 1 goon because he warped in a robotics facility. He never used it though so he wasted 100 gas on it.
And I thought that the toss would win because he did have almost equal rescourses but I guess it was the zerg players skill that did it..although he just made hydras hehe.
And ofcourse sairs > hydra. It's so obvious. |

Nice report, I love it when authors record the upgrades, it helps a lot in understanding the action. There was one battle pic where you stuck the upgrade in, that's actually pretty cool, why didn't you stick with it? =)

| Hehe I thought you'd expect hydras so I changed strat in the rematch. Btw my lings were NOT holding position. In fact, they moved to attack the probe and thats how they let the probe go through the choke when I wasn't looking. I never hold position with lings. |
