Lacks the quality of writing, originality, and basiclly the intrest that Rumpels provided.

As I see just a "me too!" report =/

Next time report a game YOU played, itd make it significantly more intresting.

I believe this particular matchup has been reported before... It looks very familiar.

Anyway, I like chess and sure it was a blatant copy, but it was an interesting game.

Bah!

Yes, that piticular matchup is probably the most reported matchup in chess history.

Lessons learned:
1) Do an original game.
2) Work on a different HTML scheme.
3) Include the little rows and colums on the chess boards.

My next report, tenetavily titled "The Rudest Chess Game Ever" will star a famous but still lesser-known game. It will star a completely new format, better writing (I hope) and the little rows and colums of algebraic notation. It also will feature the correct pics in the correct place ^^

If this one got 6, then the next one will get gold. I think.

Ummm...wow.
Unfortunately, this game wasn't half as interesting as many others you could have selected... (try Anderssen-Kieseritzky!) Very one sided with too many gay pins to give black a chance.

<ahem>

J/k, this puts a smile to my face. It seems I have inspired the entire BR community to start thinking, playing, and writing about chess. Hell, even a chess tourney is on (thanks Nobo!) and noone could be happier than me :)

Minor quibbles with this one... Pity the last diagram is wrong, it confuses people. I heard about it before I saw it, that people who wanted to understand just didn't get it at all - that's bad :/ Hope an admin can fix it... Second, this game is reported already on this site -- I didn't know that when I wrote mine, I actually thought mine was the first <sniff> but there we are...

Plus side: a lot of effort has been put into this. Some favourite quotes: "Base layout is important in chess." Excellent simily. And the "Scooby Doo specials"-remark was absolutely vile (which incidentally is my handle on the Internet Chess Club, AbsolutelyVile... look me up...) and comparing the piece values to minerals was a nice touch.

I'm working on a new chess BR too... It's a bit different from the last one, in that it will feature alternative variations, easier-to-follow and... wait, I'm not giving away everything :)

So, all in all, this was a treat. Of course I can afford to say that, seeing as it didn't outscore mine ;)

Hope to see ya soun, kane... over-the-board...

/Rump

P.S.
Wait a minute... didn't you write in Nobo's board that I was "not a god"? Bah! Changing my mind. Now I'd rate this a -1! ;)

This is the greatest chessgame of all times. But one should note that, pure technically speaking,
8. Bxf7+! would have been better than 8. Nc3. I agree though: a) bringing out more pieces is
more Morphy-alike; b) if Morphy had played it, I wouldn't sit here talking about "the greatest chessgame
ever". Nice comments on a game that will live forever!

This was great. I enjoyed reading it. You should teach chess.

What # 17 said, and I've seen tighter chess games.

Of course, that's beside the point :P
