Hi, it's me again, and here is The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly on Teck's latest work...
The Good Stuff-
Nice intro that allowed the pics to download, thanks, I like that, gave me something to do. :)
Writing very detailed oriented.
Great back and forth action that had all the players needing to be on their toes at all times, and a few times they weren't. :)
Lots and lots of different strategies used, some worked, where others bombed.
Picture Quality very sound.
Good selection of pics, with plenty of action on all fronts.
Flash Movie, while a little generic, did serve its purpose and wasn't a waste at waiting for it to Download. Me thinks this is the first time you've tried flash? If not, than this belongs in the Not So Bad Thingies. BTW what the hell song was that? It sounded like a Polka.
The Not So Bad Thingies-
Some pics were a little tiny and difficult to see. Either that or my eyes aren't what they used to be. :o
I sometimes had to re-read some parts of the writing cause I got confused on what was going on. There were a few parts that had too much detail (Is there such a thing?) I think it was due to all the players taking offensives on their opponents and also playing defensive at their bases at the same time they all had offensives going at the same time. (Eh, uh, I just re-read what I wrote, and now I'm confused, how about you?)
Energy of report was lacking somewhat. I felt like Dan Rather was giving me the report and not Teck.
Alt-Text was unfunny, it may just be me, or maybe I'm in a bad mood, but I didn't laugh at all, sorry.
The Ugly-
Sid6.9 needs a shower. I smell manly, mmmm-hmmm.

Pic Quality- A-
Pic Selection- A-
HTML Usage- B+ (The Alt-Text was the downfall here.)
Entertainment- B (Because of the Dan Rather report, and not the usual wacky Teck.)

Personal Comments- I think taking several weeks before reporting this game hurt this report. I still enjoyed it though. Flash needs a little more, heh, flash, heh heh. I enjoy your reports, and hope to see much more. I predict you will receive 8's across the board from the raters.

Yeah I'm still trying to figure out what kind of and how much detail to put in at what times. I'm trying to get the hang of when to describe in detail and when to just mention. Its a learning experience I guess.
Ah, to address the width of the report... all I can say is... SHIT... I thought I set the report to a good width... fuck. I had table width=600 in the beginning and /table in the end, and the flash movie at 800x600... did i fuck up? If anyone can explain my dumb, it would be appreciated... My bad there, sorry.
Hmm this Dan Rather thing I keep getting... I decided to take more of a reporting role over a hey check out what my friends did thing. I wanted to keep it without subjective opinion. Again, I'm learning, maybe my style will change.
AND FINALLY - WHY DOESN'T ANYONE RECOGNIZE THE MAD OLD TETRIS THEME????? Maybe its cuz my flash is wider than a donkey (i saw it just now on my friend's computer).

Then you hit me pretty hard. I continued reading the good battlereport, but the ending was a little blurry as I was too busy wasting my life to <i>"Live in a van...down by the river!!!"</i>
Funny stuff. Good BR. Just remember that not everyone is running a resolution of 1024x768. Your report fit fine on my screen, but I am sure ppl had to scroll. Dis was sweet!

| Nice report, teck. Good to see you decided to take this up. I liked all the references you made; Nintendo, SNL, Matchbox 20, last report, etc.. The only thing I had trouble with (which is what I have trouble with every game) is discerning what the teams are halfway through. I think I may have a solution. Say the teams are red and yellow verse purple and blue. Could you put a red and yellow border on left and purple and blue border on right? I just think it would be easier. Still, good report with good jokes and references. |
