First, pubbie games are rarely reported (unless they're funny. ie-dref's "to kill a newbie") Your text, while having excruciating detail about the battles, was tiresome after a while, and my head started to spin because of it. The last major mistake was the absence of a good game, which in my view, is long, and has many battles between the two at both respective bases. Here, the only time you were attacked was once, and it didn't seem like this attack destroyed your infastructure. Also, it didn't seem like the game lasted more than 20 minutes. But on the bright side, I normaly find that text-only reports are a pain in the ass and just take up space so if a report takes under 5 minutes to load on my 56k i just press back, but I had a good feeling so I read on and found that you have a lot of potential. Your writing was smooth and didnt leave out any details, read the HTML guide here or Im posting a new HTML guide in like 2 weeks (look for it). Like I said, ill diffinatly read your next report. btw, in PvP I usualy wait to see if they zeal rush, if they dont then go for the early exp. Good report, and I agree that fast exp in pvp is a mistake, as a reaver and troops should be able to take it. I would also recommend teching up templar after your first reaver, as templar makes reaver obsolete, tho it is weaker in the early game.
What gets me is the cl fuckers that go random, then when they get toss and they dont know how to play them right, they do that lame 3 gate zealot rush which really just pisses me off. Especially because I 1 gate tech =[ |

I'm a text only fan, and i gotta say good work. Good text only report, very easy for me too read, and good description. I followed the whole game, and i liked ur descriptions of ur tactics. The 5 zealots vs 3 zealots and 2 goons battle i actually enjoyed alot, cause i thought gg for u =). But the way u owned it is somethin i never knew of doing, and that's why i read br's, too learn new tactics.
So keep it up, if you want =). i posted a text only a long time ago, and have never gotten up to doing another. Good job =)

| i recently lost a pvp when he early expanded and placed his gate and forge in his choke. then he placed a cannon behind that, added more gates and 2 cannons at his main to defend reaver drop. he went goon temp and i held in there but never felt like i had an advantage at any point. i took out his economy twice but i could never break in because of storm. anyone have tips for a newbie like me? |

willwin, in that situation I think I would do one of two things:
1st: go goon/reaver and try and turbo newbie his cliff with cannons. If that works you should have the advantage and be able to out expand him.
2nd: you could go goon/ temp yourself and just try to contain him and then out expand. Don't attack if you think it will be ineffective against his defense, try using mark4's "offensive turtle" strat. just keep him in there and outexpand.
these are just 2 of the things i thought of. a really good zealot rush can take down the expansion sometimes too, but i usually have tech first if it isn't a 12/3 matchup, so i can't effectively rush.
Any of the really gosu players have an opinion on this? |

wow you really like mark4's strats(not like thats a bad thing). =o thanks for the tips. i played it out going goon/reaver and matched his exps but psi storm just raped me and his building placement stopped my from breaking in. well thanks again and i cant wait to try em out vs someone. ^^;
