Ok I agree with some of the people that the pics are compressed too much but the layout is great nevertheless and I don't understand those flames. It was done that way to shorten the download time, not to piss us off.

Well, I'm guessing that the flash version is much better than the HTML version, I'm not trying to be a dickhead here, because well, in plain facts, the HTML version sucked compared to the other reports on this site that are in HTML. And this scored higher, so I'm assuming that this is only good in flash =( Damn crappy 33.6k modem... I won't say what score I think this deserves as I couldn't see everything that you had done due to crappy connection speeds and a lack of patience. This report was oh so good. The format was really sharp, and the writing gave all the important details and behind-the-scenes strategy talk that really makes a BR worth reading. The players were fantastic, and right up until the end I was afraid Whear was gonna pull it out after the Terran had looked so strong all game. (Yes, afraid. I've had to do this Terran routine of trying-to-clean-up-the-Zerg-only-to-find-they've-expanded-three-more-times-and-oh-crap-I'm-running-out-of-minerals routine enough that I was really rooting for the Terran).
Some people have criticized the picture quality, but I thought the small, spare look actually made the report visually better. Everyone's doing realism; it's nice to have a little well-done semi-impressionism. It really worked with your overall graphics layout.
Five 10's, and it deserves them!

This was a stupendous effort! Great game, good coverage of the action, but the flash didn't work properly for me, even after my modem spent 20 minutes downloading it. :(
Technical things aside I liked the little strategic tips you had at the end of the flash (Yes, those worked fine), this kind of thing is far more intelligent commentary on the unit strengths and game progress than anything else I have seen. Can we persuade you to write more like this?

it seems that you were the one unable to see past the pretty images, simply assuming his writing and the game werent good. As i already said, i thought his writing was superb - i was never bored like i am with many reports. in addition, if you dont think that game was good, then you need to reread it. It may not have been the greatest game to ever take place but it was fully worthy of the praise it recieved. a back and forth game with amazing micro that wasnt decided until the final few minutes...

| Hey hey hey...I figured out what my problem is, but I need to know how to fix it. Problem: the flash won't allow me to view all of the slides that are there, which is why the writing confused me and seemed inconclusive. The fact that this was getting such awesome reviews and topped with my inability to see why has, has been bothering me a lot(I've loaded and reloaded this report like 5times); while I feel relieved to know that it's because of my browser fucking up, I'm pissed because I can't see the full report. >=| "Early Game" Gives me the 3-D picture of Temple and talks about the players...that's all that shows up. I then click on "Mid Game" and a full slide of unloaded pix, denoted by little red "x"'s, flies by and all of the sudden "Left without any offensive units..." with a pic of 3dead lurks, ovie floating around, bunk, tank, etc.. I click "Late Game" and more unloaded pix fly by and I'm left with a tight animated gif and the game is over...Hum...wtf is wrong with my browser?? It pissed me off so bad that I clicked to switch between different areas(ie. early game-->mid game) to right click those unloaded pix and hit "h" for show picture only to find that there's the rest of the text. Thoughts after seeing this problem: Fuck. <b><font color=lime>If anybody knows how I can get a complete version of this report or how I can get the flash to work properly, by allowing me to look at all frames, please let me know.</b></font> Btw~ Given that I now realize that you people saw the entire report and I only saw <i>most</i> of it, I'ld like to apologize for earlier criticism. hehe same here with the comment above me (138). I have the exact same problem. I figured out why i could not view it, as IE doesnt seem to get it to load. Netscape does however.
But i have same problem with 138..it skips some it seems, as i go from one seen to late game. Like in the beginning i see their locations etc, then the next thing i see is blood outside a bunker, outside his expansion. hrm :O then after that they have expanded a few times and a battle at 12.
Anyway anyone know whats wrong?

Im really confused about the majority of the comments. The game was absolutly brilliant. The players are both extreamly good so why all the insults??? Good job casper;)
One question though. WTF is a "Marine elevate". Am i a newbie (probably) or is this some new strat??
And a second question which is very irrelevant. Has anyone heard of ::LD::Rico ?? This guy is a real good player and nobody has ever heard of him. I seen him beat players who i consider excedingly good (Tillerman standard) and yet I never heard of him...........

hey inca i used to know him. he was a big player in ladderchallenges, one of the biggest vanilla channels. i do believe he was one of the top 5 in there when i used to play vanilla.
Sounds like another talented player who refuses to go to bw :[ but then again i also know other vanilla guys who > him :/ |

noone seems to have answered mr Isuck@sc's question of how to fix seeing all the frames, the answer is, dont click early game, then midgame, then late game... click early game,then click next then click next then click next then click next.... early game has multiple frames in it, so does midgame and late game...
so if you click early thenc lick mid, you miss most of the early game.
Hope that helps.. Ps. I hate pictures, but i can't help LOVING the knowledge casper puts out about the reason for every little action. The strategies section at the end proved that he knows more about sc than I ever will, and I've played a good 3000 + games. Superb shit man. |

| This is one of the most beautiful reports ever made. The strategy and tactics were top notch. I loved the appendix. I gave it one of the first couple 10's, and am happily re-reviewing it today to confirm how good this was. Not perfect as several above love to point out, but all report that get 10's in my book must set a new standard in some area, and this report does in several. Keep up the good work. |

but if I had seen the zerg secure exp with sunkens etc I would have teched to dropship and done M&M drop on main..

That is the best BR. And there have been some greate ones.
The layout was very nice, very compact but not to the point of insane.
It worked perfectly for me btw.
The only thing i didnt like about it was the window was a static size and the content was very slightly larger than the window. So I would need to scroll over to see the 1/4 of the last letters and borders for the pics. Because only 1/4 of the last letter was not visible i was able to read the report without scrolling but it still detracted.
oh and btw, i viewed the static HTML version, if that was obvious :)
I dont care for flash.

pretty graphics doesn't make a report good....even some of the layout was fucked. the pic quality in game was low as shit, and some of the pictures were squished, and squishing sc pics = retarded looking.
also, the text in the report all were pictures themselves, which added an insane amount of load time, as if there wasn't enough already.
the black background on your pictures doesn't match up with the black background of your report, so everything sticks out.
due to the report itself being mostly HTML (you couldn't zoom into the text etc), you further had to use a picture for EVERYTHING... (load time!)
the "early game, mid game, late game" thing at the top doesn't update while you start off manually..what i mean is when you surpass the early game stage and go into mid game, it still says early game at the top...so for a while there i thought i was reading a really motherfucking long report or something.
the writing still wasn't even the best....pretty basic approach. also, you took a professional layout design (Or attempted to, i should say) and used a punkish writing style. cursing, etc.
i still like YRM's original World War 3 Way (the first one) the most out of any report...he didn't need super fancy flash effects, he just had superb writing and notation skills.
