The LOTR analogy didn't do much for me, unfortunately. Calling Zerglings Hobbits was stretching it, and it also made it unclear what units were being used (although I could guess a lot of the time). I was hoping for a Strifeshadow report, actually, as soon as I realized it was LOTR themed. It would take a lot less suspension of disbelief to compare a Sylvan Ranger to an Elven Ranger, or a Kobold to a Kobold than it does here. Unfortunately, the various connections take up a lot of time, and it's hard to be excited by the battle when it's being dragged down by 3 reasonably lengthy paragraphs about Hobbiton sending out scouts (and I never did figure out how many Drones went out).
Other than that I liked as much of the report as I read, but the LOTR connections started getting to me about halfway through.
Probably 7 if I read it all the way through.

| yeah, just like to default the LOTR theme really did not do anything for me. I don't think it tied into the repor at all, making it generally flat--not fun to read and just weird. Duno--great effort and great pictures, but unfortunately you went in the wrong direction with this:( |

I'm a big fan of the Lord of the Rings...and the report looked pretty cool, but I had a hard time following the game amidst the LOTR theme. It just didn't work for me.
I did like the black cloaks on those marines, though for the ringwraiths...it made me laugh. How'd you do that? |

Morgoth/Melkor was the original evil and still is the ultimate lord of all evil, not Sauron - he's just a servant.
I would have picked Mordor to have been Zerg, Rivendell to have been Protoss and Gondor to have been Terran, btw, with no hobbiton - that's probably the closest pairings to LoTR.
Even so, this was excellent. The writing was amazing. The LoTR theme worked mostly, failed occassionally tho. From me, this gets a 9 =].
