Um. In the previous segment the terrans "incurred in (sic) a major battle while on patrols with Zerg forces." Now we find out the forces were just an illusion. Shouldn't the terrans have figured it out when they fought the zerg and took no wounds and found no bodies?
Either:
a) the terran patrol was lying
b) there really are zerg out there
c) the author screwed up big-time
I'm betting on c) but there's no harm in pretending it was really a) or b). |

| About the battle with the Zerg thing. I knew this would come up. No one ever said that the hallucinations just disappeared when they quote, unquote "died." I think that they actually fall and stay awhile before disappearing. Kind of like in some video games. That's the way I see it. |

Don't take my complaint about hallucinations seriously. It was just a minor point that jumped out at me. Most fanfics have much larger inconsistencies. Heck, even this one has larger inconsistencies. (For example, what was the point of the zerg hallucinations in the first place? Why not just attack, instead of tipping off the terrans that something was up and giving them time to prepare for a battle?)
But no one demands perfection in a starcraft fanfic. On the whole I think this was better than the average fanfic posted here. Just reread it with a critical eye a couple times before posting. |

No, there's certain units that have an advantage over Zerg...or over Protoss. As pointed out in the "Standard Zerg Set up". Siege Tanks will own Zealots any day of the week...But marines won't. But marines own Zerglings. =D |

But Protoss "anything" will own Terran "nothing" which is what the terrans had before they saw the Zerg. As I read it, I got the impression that the Terrans thought they were at peace. Then they saw Zerg, and only then did they begin building defenses and units.
I guess you could say that the Terrans had been building general defenses all along, and just shifted to building specifically anti-Zerg defenses as the story started. But that was far from clear (to me at least) in the story--and, if this was what you meant, it could have been clearer.
At the very least, the Protoss gave up the element of surprise by tipping off the Terrans that a battle was coming, forcing the terrans to speed up unit production/scouting. |

| And one final time I will post...First off, if you read that thin manual that comes with your SC battlechest, it says the marines weapon is the 8mm C-14 "Impaler" Gauss Rifle. Impaler is the nickname of the gun. Like the F-14 "Tomcat" and F-16 "Fighting Falcon". Finally...Maybe the Protoss commander is just an incompetent, arrogant, S.O.B. =D lol. Anyway, thanks for your support guys, I will have next issue out this weekend...And then I'm going to Florida for school...IT'S SPRING BREAK, BABY! =P |
