| I'm splitting my time between NWN, WC3, and writing up my next TFC battlereport on a league finals match. I do plan on doing a WC3 report eventually though, but right now I have a few too many projects on my plate. I don't mind fiction as long as there are BATTLEREPORTS to read. It just seems that BR.com has stopped being a BR site. It is now about 10% reports, 40% spam crap, and 50% fanfics. And a lot of the fics don't have anything to do with games or 'battles'. They are just stories (however well written) about nothing. This one is a nice example. It was well written, and even semi-interesting at times. But why is it HERE and not on some more appropriate site/forum where people might be interested in it? If it wasn't for the replays, BR.com wouldn't even be worth visiting much anymore. |

If you haven't noticed, a lot of people enjoy these fanfics, not all of them, but there are 3 or 4 fanfic series that much of the site like reading.
If you don't want to read the fanfics, go ahead, don't read them. Go join the thousand other guys that just sit there waiting for brs to come out. |

oh wow nefarious, I'm sorry but I kind of figured br.com was about written work aimed at entertaining people.
as long as it entertains, it's good. Not quite sure about the rating of this, though it was leet as always :D. I think you signing up to protect heidi with guns right away was a little unrealistic . . . and the "bad people" stuff a little too simplistic . . . but still, the writing was good and it kept me interested . . . I shall have to think about this :D |

| No need to be abusive. Then again, BR.com has always been (mostly) a small circle of people. Some are bottom-feeding ego-mirrors who stonewall ‘outsiders’ and lavish praise on ‘insiders’ like a bad high-school clique. Reaver’s story is enjoyable. I’m not complaining about the story. I’m complaining that BR.com viewers aren’t stepping up to the plate. I’m working on reports. A few others are. Why can’t all the guys who hang on the Refresh button so they can be ‘first!’ to post a comments take some of those wasted electrons and write a report on one of the dozens of good matches in the replay section? |

hehe, this part of the story was awesome flash ;) you threw in more action, more dialogue, and definitely started advancin the plot. well written as usual--i like the way you describe the setting and what's happening, so you can picture it--i very much enjoyed this one =) hehe, hard to keep your mind on proofreading somethin when all ya wanna do is read it again =P
anyways... it's clear to me that a lot of people at this site like stories like this, so to the people who keep complainin about them--go make better use of your time--i agree with #11, 13, and 16 |
