great report. easy gold. I understood what was going on, the action seemed to flow well, and the writing wasnt obnoxious and had few spelling/grammatical errors. Also had great micro, and rare units/upgrades like devourers and scarab damage and maybe even dweb (although i dont think it was used)

That was great, especially in the wake of the actual br drought. A few very minor spelling errors, as per usual good br. I think it'll get an easy gold.
Some things to improve on, though, is that in your collages, you have tiny screenshots. You can just barely make out what they are [exaggeration but whatever]. Try to size them bigger. Its okay if pictures overlap in collages.
Also, it is a highly-personal and pointless-to-point-out because-I'm-the-only-one-who-feels-this-way opinion that little airbrushed splotches on minimaps to show exps and other things are bad. |

On the whole, I found this a very well done report, with concise writing and professional-looking pictures. However, I do have a view gripes. First of all, the seperate images in your battle9.jpg collage were tiny - I could barely see them. You'll have to fix that for next time, as well as the massive, clumsy-looking red arrows in some of your minimaps. Either use thin arrows using line command, or don't do them at all. Also, your text where you describe the sairs being ambushed by scourge is very unprofessional, and a large departure from the rest of your br. Didn't like that :(. Finally, your alt text was very . . . drab. If you're going to use it, add some humour!
That's about it. Also, the game wasn't as back-and-forth as it could have been, but that's forgivable ;). 8. |

Very good report. You don't need to apologize for how difficult you think it is to read. I didn't have much trouble. Just use more expressive graphics if you think that may be a problem. There were enough minimaps for me.

And about starcraft... my god, where should I begin?
1. The ONLY resolution you can use is 640x480 in 256 colors. How GAY is that?
2. Its rendered in SOFTWARE
3. You cant zoom
4. BGH/Comp stomps took over the majority of maps played on starcraft bnet. In Warcraft III, you CANT get wins from ANY map other than blizzard-approved maps.
5. The UMS's in starcraft are downright primitive compared to that of Warcraft III
6. The SC map editor is a joke compared to war3's

| so you are basing how good a game is simply by superficial and artificial reasons? you my friend are fucken stupid. if you are gonna compare a 4 year old game to a new game and base your judgement upon the fact that one game has newer and more robust features/graphics then you may as well compare warcraft 3 to doom III because the reasons you list are simply features of a game, not actual gameplay. Why by that reasoning, then the superior graphics of a new game like doom iii or unreal 2 supercede that of an ugly game like war3. you are fucken idiotic to assume that what makes a game good is its features that truthfully have no relevance to the actual game. What makes or breaks a game is NOT that it is software rendered, what does in fact is the actual gameplay, replayability and depth. Overall, the BR is good, but I didn't really like those ghetto looking red arrows. Did you do that using an airbrush? You might want to try another tool. Yes, I did enable image loading this time. =)
SC/BW > War3 but take a look at the join screen these days. You can't even find very many decent games anymore; all I see are useless, custom money maps. Blizzard should patch BW so that players can't get wins from custom maps, and they should also add a filter to allow players to screen out games that aren't using Blizzard approved maps.

| Dont get me wrong, this is an awesome report, but i think (since uve been getting 7-8s the last like 4 reports) that you have to improve your writing style for a 9 or greater. Your pics are very good. Cover confrontations and back and forth action a bit more then u did, and cover what each person does specifically. Put some emotion into it, explain your opinion of certain things/battles, and make some jokes. Maybe put some flash in, and thatll get u a 9. |

I am proud to say that I do not own WCIII and do not plan to buy it either.
Decent report... No temple so that was a huge plus. I also thought the pics were pretty good, some good action shots; thought the hand drawn arrows looked a bit silly though. Did seem like Zerg had the game under control throughout though. Nothing particularly exciting or unexpected happened.
Solid effort though compared to the garbage I've been seeing. |
