Your HTML was OK.
But a far better game is a must. And better writting ("being" instead of "begin" twice in a row ...)

Good effort for a first battle report! Your writing could stand a lot of refinement (for example, write as if its a book report, not as if you're "talking" about the game in a chat room. Be less self-deprecating in the beginning... we know it may need some improvement since it's your first BR, and emphasising up front that it sucks is just going to turn people off).
The pic borders were interesting, but mostly distracting. 5.5.

The borders on several of the pictures kind of detracted from them, on several occasions I couldn't read the text you had on there. Borders are nice, but not if they make it so that you don't have legible text! Also, make sure to proofread it a little more carefully first.

I liked it, but I didnt laugh once.
Serious br's are fine though and this game was interesting IMHO though I could tell from the beginning the zerg race would win.

Don't say in the intro to the player that "based on his play in the game" he's not very good... it just encourages us to skip to the end.

| Okay, this deserved a 6, but cb was content in rating it low :D Anyways a LOT of things are wrong with this report. First the pics. If youre gonna make a background to the pic, make it a real background. Look at zerglings reports, and you'll see like a space or carrier background to each pic. RAINBOW colors are only for borders. Your pics were sloppily made sometimes and overlapped text on other pics. Next, sometimes you had 1 word on each line next to your pics. BAD. Your grammar was okay, "learnt?" learned buddy. And you said he produced a hydra den for mutas? i was like "wtf". From the beginning I knew the game outcome because in the player intros you said that one of em sucked. DONT SAY THAT. the game was a massacre, and even with that idiot allying the enemy twice he still won. The game was terrible. |

A SC report, wow. I've gotta be honest and say that I didn't read everything since im losing interest in SC :p I can only agree with the other commenters on your pictures.

I agree with what cattle posted: for a first effort, this was a VERY good effort. most first reports are text only and have no redeeming elements. You incorproated plenty of ballsy html and pics. but at the same time, you have a lot to learn about writing, most of which has already been expressed by the previous comments. When writing a report, keep the mentality of entertaining the reader, and don't forget you are telling a story, so don't spill any secrets about the outcome. basically, learn to write. your html and pic skizzles are mostly good, and will mature with experience, so you don't really need to worry about them.
the borders gave me homosexual urges, but besides that weren't all that bad. it just gave me the feeling of someone who's jsut experimenting and learning with psp or whatever.
keep at it, i'm anxious to see #2

I read a bit of the beginning, then looked at the pics. I have two things to say:
1) GET SOME CONFIDENCE, FOOLISH NEWB!!!!111 ;)
2) I liked the backgrounds, although a lot of others would/will/have disagree(d), methinks.
I skimmed the comments, it seems your writing was somewhat... bland. Try mixing in the detailed writing style of Fanficition without overdoing it (As in seriously giving a unit a name and telling his life story... Unless that was the entirety of the BR; that might be nice... Hmm, have to try that...)

| Scv's having 20 more hp are not imballanced. They must remain with their building untill completion, and with offensive bunkering and turret's need that extra 20 hp. 40 hp scv's would just means that those damn protoss players who try to kill the scv's making your wall would be sucessful almost everytime, that would be imballance. |

This reports writing makes it look only informative. Your purpose was to make it humorous, was it not? Try to be a little less rigid in your way of writing.
Change the friggin rainbows. They're very annoying.
Its ok if the game is crap. Crap games are funny. But its just in the way you present the information is what holds peoples attention. |
