This is very well-written, but it really isn't a battle report. Do a search on Heartcutter's old reports for ways to integrate strategy guides into a battle to allow for a better read. Not that there was anything wrong with this -- it just would be more at home on a starcraft strategy site than here.
I'd be interested to see what you could with a real game. NR.

| I'm not a newbie (far from it) but I did learn something from this. I'd never thought of burrowing a couple lings during an attack on an enemy base. Course I hardly ever play zerg. |

"Umm a scouting attack 7 minutes into the game? Can you say late?"
Not as late as you would think. By then your forces should be big enough to divide into to groups. The one attacking and the one defending. The reason why this attack is so late is because this is a guide for newbies, and the last thing a newbie needs is a bare base.
"I'd be interested to see what you could with a real game."
Me too. |

I agree with NFT, it's been already almost 5 years since SCBW's been released (only 3 months to go) and it's been 8 years since SC came out...
And this is a battlereport? |

| If you like writing guides, I know starcraft.org and sclegacy.com have guides/strategy/tactics sections. I don't know if they are accepting new ones, since, as others have pointed out, it is an old game. |

The writing was pretty good, integrate that into a br and the results should be good as CB said.

#11 (Mist), BW came out 6 months after SC. SC is not 8 years old big guy. ^_^ Decent strategy guide but it was kind of late. No matter how good your material is, you should cater to the tastes of your intended audience. Most of the people on this site who come here are not new to SC.

"Have you tried integrating your starcraft genius to Warcraft 3? You could be very successful."
I'm not sure if thats sarcasm or not, but I'm assuming its not. I borrowed WC3 from a friend of mine for a few weeks. I enjoyed the single player campaign but I found the multiplayer lacking. But I was inspired to reinstall starcraft after its long hibernation on my shelf of "Retired with Distinctive Service", and thus, I started writing strategy guides again.
"No matter how good your material is, you should cater to the tastes of your intended audience. Most of the people on this site who come here are not new to SC."
I understand that, but these people, after many years of playing don't need my help. The new players, who I still see on b.net everyday, are the ones I want to aid. |

| hrmm,I have played sc for a while...well umm years...personally I like to scout with a worker in early game,to find out race, and what direction there headed to... USSUALLY terran players wall off and tech to vultures and lay mines everywhere microwing like hell, then come in with tanks and turrets...and they slowly work up to your base...well with an early scout catchin this walling technic...could um prevent this....this may be difficult to counter for newbies when playing as toss...because zeals dont have a good AI when it comes to "walls"...they run around in circles when being fire upon...and if the toss player doesnt switch gears fast...those zeals will end up setting off mines and getting wore down by |
| #18 ???[127267] |
| ppp149-mfe.tiagris.net |
constant hit-and-run tatics...wich are why goons are greate...I belive vultures do half damage to large units, and dragoons do half to small units...but since a vulture is considered a medium size type...a goon does 15 while a vulture does 10,and plus with the goons greate amount of life over the vulture...your zeals are safe for better use...such as taking out tanks...ussually after seeing goons, terran players tech to tanks and build bay to fly over your base and provide vision for tanks, and they ussually build turrents near them to
prevent dark templars from sticking there warp blades into |
| #19 ???[127270] |
| ppp149-mfe.tiagris.net |
| there tanks...also the mines from vultures take em out or anything that tries to come close...if you have zeals with speed upgrade, send them for a kamikazi mission triggering the spider mine to explode and blow up everything withen its radius...taking out the surrounding tanks...after seeing this, they start putting bunkers....what do I do...I tech up to |
| #20 ???[127271] |
| ppp149-mfe.tiagris.net |
| sairs and archons after fighting off the vulture attacks...expanding somewhere far off from my base because that is where the turtle over towards to....so I get disruption web upgrade...once I see the bay flying over,I either use goons if there early of sairs if there late...or hide the sairs and suprise them with nicely placed webs...archons are considered a hovering unit,so they dont set off mines, with there high shield points, they can take some good hits from tanks, and plus its always nice to have shield batterys...infact when you have archons,do have shield batterys...so just web the bunkers and as many tanks, dont wory about mines... |

loved the writing, make some br's you should do very well
as for the strat guide...well, its been beaten into the ground on many occasions...and as one person said, most of the br.com audience has a very strong grasp on sc
as for the guide itself, my only beef with it is the same beef i have with every guide...the game just isnt that generic
anyway, one point i really liked was the scouting attack...im a zerg player by nature, and i will almost always send out my first hatched lings to my opponents base (either just to get lucky or to see what he's doing or whatever, its really a no lose situation) and theres alot you can do with it...although i wouldnt suggest it with terran (scouting attack with marines can lead to disaster, last thing you want is to lose 12 marines to a pack of lings early in the game)
anyway, keep up with the good work |

It was okay, just restating the basics in different words. Try starcraft S&T forum next time if you want to do this.
Not really a report, and you should try to structure sentences better.

YourButteredBiscuit...
You have no clue what Starcraft is all about or how to play it. Would you like to know why? Because you are a BGHer.
Please, do not report BGH games. BGH players, please, do not make reports. You define the word "newbie" my friend. =( |

| Once again neo you don't know shit, how are you gonna read all of YBB reports and try to get on him with the same post boy you don't even no what being a newbie is. Why don't you try looking at the word first NEWBIE= Never played starcraft and builds a engineering bay first, and where are all your battle reports if your all that great man. There is no map that defines a person everyone has there own personal preference. |
