Just read it. It seemed like a really nice game, and I never got lost once! This is the first report that I've read where I knew exactly what was happening O_O So overall I think this is one of the best reports I've read. I'd give it an 8 or 9.

Nicely done ling...got as many posts in about 6 hours as mine did in 3 days :). And people besides me posted on this one.
Since I didn't really say anything about the report before I will now. Really enjoyed the, new, more in depth thought process and analysis, it just added that much more to the report. Love the whole "feel" of the images, background, and quotes...it gives me ideas, I do love simple complexity.
Overall, great report and I give an 8.5 mainly because of the whole losing a game to get the 9th comment thing...bastards. |

A way to get more rating would be to... Make more raters! JV needs to read the reports and rate them, now that he's back, but maybe he doesn't have a lot of time. The only thing is very few people have been around long enough to be deserving. Mick for rater!

Two strategy comments: Archons own muta-ling. GG, no re. Also, when I go ultra-ling, the one thing I don't want to see is the protoss player powering tons of zealots (true, the toss player needs near economic parity). If they have equivalent upgrades, it's really frustrating because zealots' melee range sometimes causes them to attack the lings - one thing you never want to happen with ultra-ling. And their forces move as fast as yours.
Oh, and if you must have lots of cannons for D, one thing that helps almost as much as gates in front of the cannons is maelstrom. One or two DAs can really help with that much more damage, or let you get forces in to the area. But then you have to be preparing already :(. |

Yeah, archons are a must. I'm not sure why, but I tend to want to keep the templars instead, I rely heavily on storming, and tend to have maybe five templars when I should be morphing archons instead.
I forgot to mention upgrades here - Keanu was way ahead of me near the end, close to 3-3 as I recall it.
Maelstorm is something that I've reseached maybe 5 times in the last five years of gaming. It's cute to see it work (remember THAT PvZ where Grrrr... goes nuts with mealstrom/storming?) but I feel the time it takes to research isn't available. |

anyway, i consider lings as supplemental damage with ultra/ling, really, like little 25 mineral hand grenades...im much more concerned with losing my ultras. and i've found that, while archons are pretty strong vs ultras, storm just hurts so much. a good mix of zeal/goon/archon with like 6 hts for storming scares me to death :( |

The race with best starting melee, the best static defense, the best attack spell, the best ranged unit, the blahblahblah.
The basis of a good report is where protoss players lose. I find a the zerg player has to be much better or even matchup with 3+ collosal mistakes on the toss part for a Zergling win. |

Perhaps expanding right when your were moving your troops to contain the zerg would have given you a stronger game later on...if you managed to keep it that is. Sairs were extra too I think since you built them once you repelled the initial muta attack and had cannons already. |
