I was wondering, on cash games do you change gears often? In this report you pretty much played solid, with a bluff here and there just when someone else was bluffing. But you kinda have to depending on the situations.
What I find gives me a great edge in playing (cash games only) is A) bluff a lot and do a few buyins then for the rest of the night play tight and overbet and you will get action with weak hands left and right, B) play really tight so they always think you have it and then bluff a bit.
Other than that I just take tourists, new players and bad players money. |

Great thing about battle reports is if you dont play a certain game at the time the report is written, you can return months later when you do finally like it.
I never was into poker until just recently after playing holdem at a friend's b-day party. Now of course, those who know my obsessive nature when it comes to a game, I dive right into them after finding some initial interest.
Luckily I know how terrible I am at it, so I've only been having fun with play money tournaments online. But when my co-worker's poker nights start up soon, I'll at least be decently prepared.
Regardless, this poker report from Yoda is a fine read. I'm so bad at poker just reading the report has increased my skill by 23%. |
