Wish I was there to see it. Actually, the most fun is comsatting, then pressing printscreen repeatedly to get an 'animation' of the nuke falling. Hmm, now that's an idea. |

Hey you CAN defend your way to victory. I've done it in probably 25% of my ladder wins. Trust me it can be done.
Sure "defending" involves claiming large pieces of real estate quickly, and defending it, but hey I am still "Defending" aren't I?
Oh yeah, and I'm allowed to assasinate units, that doesn't count as attacking.

SnowSquall, I'm going to kick your ass if you don't start taking pictures to go with your "easy to read" reports! I can sit here and read your reports as if we were having a conversation... great work.
BTW, players with poor MACRO, like you and I, benefit from FFA's and suffer in 2-2 games.
I've won my share of FreeForAlls just by taking as many close togehter sites as possible early and waiting for the enemies to kick each other's asses. The thing is, my defenses are such that if someone would take me out, they'd suffer storms, reavers, d-webs, carriers, goons... and they'd probably lose. Tip, in public FFA's go for Protoss... that way, if someone lags out early, you hurry to mindcontrol (do this anyway) and then go take over their army during the course of the game. Of course, like you said, you can sit back and focus on your economy, then, when the battle comes, you go out and micro your troops. The only time you need to attack is weak expansions, undefended expansions when someone is out attacking, or at the end of the game, when you're left to kill 1-2 bloodied opponents. |
