Just a friendly one on one on Entanglement. (:

Dev - Randomed for Protoss, starting at 9:00
whitie - Randomed for Protoss, starting at 12:00

Having played whitie before and knowing that he wasn't much for rushing, I went with a single gateway opening, grabbing gas and a cybernetics core quickly. I had the intention of a reaver drop, but defense was the first issue. I sent my first zealot scouting, clockwise from 12:00 and waypointed to 3:00 and 6:00. I kept my gateway busy with three more zealots and two dragoons while keeping my probe production up.

My first zealot caught sight of an enemy gateway at his main base. I spotted a zealot pop out and figured the next would be nearby. While scouting, I turbo-teched through robotics facility and put up an observatory. My first dinger cruised up to the probable location of whitie's 'gimme' expansion, south of his main.

Sure enough, there was a nexus and four or five probes mining away. Aside from a single cannon, it looked pretty bare to me. I moved out with four zealots and two dragoons to smack it while warping a Citadel of Adun, Robotics Support Bay, and a few more zealots and dragoons.

My units quickly overpowered the photon cannon and set to work trashing the robotic probes that worked in the mineral fields, oblivious to the incursion. Three zealots charged down out of whitie's main to stop me, but my zealots cleaved through their shields and my dragoons polished them off with well-placed blasts; three more quickly reinforced as I pounded on the expansion's nexus. I moved to engage the newcomers, but a newly-warped cybernetics core blocked my path and my zealots began to trip over each other. I destroyed one zealot, but at the cost of one of my own and a dragoon. I pulled my remaining forces away, fearing additional zealots and my own disappointing unit AI. (:

More zealots and dragoons were waiting for me when I returned home, and I had not sat idly by while my forces destroyed the enemy probes; I had expanded to my own 'gimme' expansion with a forge and cannons to protect me. With additional gas and minerals pouring into my coffers, I warped in a templar archive while seeding the map with 'dingers' and producing a matched set of reavers, complete with shuttle. A patrolling observer found a spot on the west side of whitie's main base that had yet to be reinforced with cannons; it was left to the bare protection of a dragoon and a pair of zealots. I also took note of the Stargate that had warped in on that base's flank. By contrast, the expansion I had hit earlier was now under the protection of several cannons, at least nine zealots, and a dragoon.

Four Dark Templar swept forth from my gateways and quickly joined four zealots and three dragoons to sneak up the west side of the map. A shuttle with a pair of damage-and-capacity upgraded reavers accompanied them. I'm sure whitie was surprised when I unloaded my artillery and set to work on his forces. The dragoon and pair of zealots had been reinforced by two more dragoons and two zealots when I struck; and it really didn't make all that much difference. The first two scarabs ripped into the charging zealots, and my dark templar and zealots slashed the weakened dragoons with frightening speed. A corsair and scout swept up to my reavers; my dragoons handled the scout with ease, and finishing off the corsair when it engaged my empty shuttle.

My reavers reloaded their scarabs and began pounding on the base when whitie's expansion garrison streamed up to stop my incursion. Two addtional dragoons had joined them and split off to head for my reavers while the zealot conga line absorbed four scarabs and was quickly annihilated by my group of zealots and DTs. My dragoons held off their opposite numbers by virtue of upgraded weapons (I was at level 2) with one loss. My attack force was still strong as I finished off the production buildings at whitie's main base; two dragoons, two reavers (one damaged) and eight virtually untouched infantry troops (4 zealots, 4 Dark Templar). A lone zealot marched away from whitie's last gateway before it was destroyed, and met with a reaver scarab and a trio of warp blades. This represented the last of his attack units.

I moved my reavers to engage his expansion. Using their long range and high power, the reavers battered through the photon cannon wall as I sent my zealots and Dark Templar to destroy the remaining structures in whitie's main one at a time. The two tasks finished nearly simultaneously, and by a stroke of luck, all of whitie's fleeing probes were caught and destroyed by a pair of well-aimed scarabs. After the mopping up, gg's were exchanged and whitie was surrendered.

I finished the game with 43 kills and three losses; two dragoons and a lone zealot.
