This was a match between mastermdk and I on Dark Temple. Jack-The-Rapist was the supposed observer, but got dissconnected halfway through the game. That is the reason why I have no screenshots. Anyway, I started at 3:00 and master was at 12:00. I went rax8 depot9 in hope of an early rush. After sending my scv out to scout, I found that he was terran. Damn. Right after that I quickly got a refinery and stopped the flow of marines. 5 minutes later, i decided to send 6 marines to see what they were up to. I ordered them to charge up the ramp and blitz the scvs. They failed misriably. 4 of the 6 marines died to bunker fire on the choke, and the other two were killed by scvs. Back to my base. I had started on a factory and was now pumping vultures with spider mines, in anticipation of a tank push. That never came, so I decied to just rush my vultures through the ramp and blitz the scvs again. This attack worked slighty better, killing 3 scvs and 2 marines. However, it resulted in the lose of all 3 of my vultures. What scared me though was how empty his base was, and the fact that he never attacked me. I was starting to suspect bc's, so i threw up a starport. 5 minutes later, I had 4 wraiths and a dropship full of 4 marines and 2 vultures. Dropping them in his mineral line, I had my vultures mine the area. When he started to attack with the scvs and marines, I lost all my ground troops and cloaked my wraiths. Then, my wraiths were met by a comstat and 4 goliths. Unfortunetly for master though, those mines I implanted detonated and blew up the goliahts, as well as many of the scvs. He ran his scvs away then, and I decided to go expansion hunting. Flying to the upper left corner, I discovered a command center with one scv. After killing it, Master said he had to go eat and promptly left. :) |
