Thor decided to let his fate be chosen by random and receives the mighty protoss as his starting force. MtcM also ends up with protoss. The two combatatents are right next to each other but they do not discover each other for quite some time. MtcM's probe is killed by 2 guarding zealots as it attempts to enter Thor's fortress.
The build orders were as follows:
Thor: pylon, gateway pylon, assimilator, cybernetics gateway, robotics, observatory, support bay.
MtcM: pylon, gateway, pylon, assimilator, cybernetics, robotics, gateway, support bay.
As is evident, the early game was not a deciding factor as both warriors build up similarly. MtcM makes the first move by mobilizing his forces toward's Thor's base and preparing for attack. As Thor's observer spots the forces, MtcM drops a reaver in Thor's probe community. 12 probes lose their lives before the reaver and it's shuttle die. During the attack, however, another assault is launched. MtcM's forces, consisting of dragoons and 2 zealots, are sent to destroy Thor's defending dragoons and zealots. The battle begins to take favor for MtcM until Thor drops a reaver into the actions and many dragoons lose their lives. Thor's remaining troops rally to destroy MtcM's main base but are met by stiff resistance as MtcM has trained more dragoons who now have the range upgrade. Thor's reaver is noticeably absent. The missing reaver shows up in MtcM's totally defenseless peon line where he commences reaking havoc on the innocent miners. MtcM's surviving dragoons are sent to destory their foe but the reaver runs away. [s]Thor begins an expansion at his low ground minerals during the attack and MtcM does so right after. Thor uses his 2 gateways to amass a large quantity of zealots and dragoons. MtcM uses his 3 rather inefficiently due to his financial shortage brought upon by his low probe count.
Knowing this, Thor expands 2 more times while preparing for a final deadly attack. First, however, a reaver drop is made on MtcM's expansion and again many probes die before help arrives and once again the reaver is able to escape. Finally Thor's troops arrive and put the game to and end.
