Ducky's Battle Reports TOTALLY OWN YOU ALL FOOLS

Storminator : Purple Terran : Top Right Position

King-Lewis : Orange Zerg : Top Position

vs

Invincible-SCV : Blue Zerg : Bottom Position

Waffle : Brown Zerg : Top Left Position

Each player set about their respective build orders. All 3 zerg players went for a quick spawning pool, followed by a pair of hatcheries, King decided to put his 3rd hatchery at his choke point. When his spawning pool completed, however, he immediately spawned 6 zerglings, and was planning to send them to the nearby brown zerg who he had spied with his scouting overlord. Unfortunately, Lewis feared the 8 zerglings that had just spawned, and decided to send them down south, to see if there was anything worth killing down there. Of course there wasn't.

Both Waffle and SCV had been quickly amassing Zerglings, and Lewis's overlord should have clearly seen this, and prepared accordingly. SCV and Waffle set their zerglings right outside of Lewis's base, waiting for a few stragglers. Lewis's expansion had just gone up, and two creep colonies were quickly morphing on the creep. Alas, just as they were finishing, Invincible-SCV cried out the sacred zerg-battle call, ATTACK NOW YOU FOOL, and the zerglings showered themselves on Lewis's expansion. The zerglings King-Lewis had there were obviously not sufficient to hold off a double team, even if a great percentage of the zerglings were from SCV who was on the other side of them map. (He was obviously an Infested SCV, no SCV I know would build that many zerglings!) The zerglings easily took out King-Lewis's expansion, and afterwards, meeting little resistance, his main. (Except the extractor, that godly extractor still stands there today!) Waffle and Invincible-SCV both allowed him to observe, and gave him shared vision.

Remember Storminator? He's still in here! Infact, he now has siege tanks and a dropship! Uh-oh, niether SCV or Waffle have even begun morphing a lair! Two siege tanks are unloaded on the thin ice behind SCV's mineral line, and they promptly wreck havoc on the innocent drones! Does this mean Storm and all his homosexua....superiority might stand a chance in this unbalanced fight? Yes! Storm may suck be he has an overwhelming imbalance on his side! Go Terran!

Unfortunately, the same trick didn't work at Waffle's base, because Storm unloaded the Siege Tanks in a good spot to not be hit, but not to hit anything either. Poor Storminator. He pressed his luck at SCV's base, dropping another tank and 4 marines, along with the 2 original tanks, but they were easily defeated by the standing force of hydralisks and zerglings.

Instead of taking his natural expansion, which wouldn't aid him in his soon desperate need for Vespene Gas (Science Vessels own zerg), Storminator decided to float a shiny new toy, a command center, to the southern island in the middle of the map. It would have worked perfectly if Waffle didn't already have an overlord there, and didn't have 3 hydralisks (Future lurkers) attack moving their merry little way towards his choke point.  The hydralisks weren't able to kill it, but it made Storm aware that he would have problems there shortly.

The 3 hydralisks morphed into lurkers, and ran up next to a squad of marines and medics, losing 1 in the process. Thankfully the o-so-godly marines were able to retreat to the relative safety of the base before losing any. The medics, however, were too stunned to move an inch, and were slaughtered by zergling claws shortly after. At the island expansion, Storminator had constructed several Missile Turrets around his Command Center, supposedly to stop incoming drops. I think he just wanted to see them spin. He also took this time of silence (kinda, having a lurker burrowed at your ramp is sorta silent, because you can't hear it slurping the bugs down there) to send a new Command Center to the north island. Unfortunately he never got it going.

Just when you thought I was about to save this and go get a Pepsi, I continue writing. Sit down. 4 more lurkers come partially up Storminator's ramp, and begin thwarting the overestimated Terran defenses. 8 zerglings were dropped on the 2 siege tanks out side of Waffle's main, that had 1 kill between the two of them, and were sharing a bottle of Malt Liquor at the time. Several hydralisks were dropped at the northern island expansion, which was quickly flagged down. Poor Storm.

The lurkers at his ramp represented the end for him, so Storminator loaded up 3 dropships with 12 marines, 4 medics, and 2 siege tanks, and set out to destroy Waffle at all costs. Storminator destroyed Waffle at no losses, but his main had been destroyed by his overwhelming army before Storminator could eliminate Waffle's hatchery constructed at the bottom left starting position.  Right before the hatchery fell, guess what happened? You'll never guess, because I've never seen it.

How do you explain not seeing the name of the person dropping? You also notice that the hatchery is now dead, the other players continued playing while I saw this message.

So Waffle (who had several dots after his name) is what we call a "Fucking Disconnector". That's almost as bad as psi storm! If you see him, kick his ass as hard as you can, There is no way to explain this as an "accident" the game was 100% lag free up to this point, he just couldn't handle a loss.

Back to the game! Storminator loaded his units back up, and tried to drop them at SCV's main. He was able to destroy his mani! Go Storminator! Even though he now was down to a starport, and a burning command center (Hydra drop at his southern island expansion, which had no defense beside 7 missile towers, need I say more?) it looked like our hero Storminator might have a chance after all! Unfortunately he no longer had any dropships, as they had been destroyed. But he did have a science vessel, so he d-matrixed two of his mariens and tried to attack the expansion at SCV's natural.

He stood no chance, 1 sunken with drone support destroyed it with ease. Poor Storminator. The Command Center burned itself to the ground, and the starport was taken out by a few hydralisks. There can be only one, Invincible-SCV is the victor! (I still say he's infested)

Lessons Learned

  • Even if you outplay someone, it doesn't matter if they have a disconnecting breakfast meal for a side kick, and they double team your ally early on.
  • Winter Conquest is imbalanced, tanks can totally own the mineral line of the zerg at several spots. But who am I to complain? I'm a lowly ducky.
  • Making battlereports is cool, too bad this didn't get 1000.
