The Setup
This game was a One on One between two NoHunters regulars, Headless_Clown, and GiZmOkId. Once again, the field of battle was The Lost Temple. Headless_Clown started as Zerg in the 3 o'clock position and took the orange color. GiZmOkId took the 6 o'clock as yellow protoss.
The Early Game
As soon as the game started, both players allied and shared vision with me, since it was on a melee. Headless_Clown built up to 8 drones, then spawned an overlord. He then proceeded to take his natural expansion, followed closely by a spawning pool. GiZmOkId went pylon on the 8th probe, gateway on 9, pylon on 11 and gateway on 12. With 4 zealots standing gaurd, he took a risk and expanded to his natural. A scouting probe soon finds Headless_Clown's undefended expansion, so 2 zealots were sent to do some damage. They attacked and brutally tore through the one morphing sunken there before getting killed by zerglings. 3 zealots soon followed up the attack but were overwhelmed by the zerglings now coming from three hatcheries. GiZmOkId retreats two of the zealots before they die, and starts mining at his new expansion. This is when the zerg brood goes on the offensive.
The Late Game
Headless_Clown makes a hydralisk den, and soon produces them from all three of his hatcheries. When Headless_Clown has an adequate attack force, he mows through the 8 defending zealots, but not without heavy losses. By the time the zealots died, there were just 2 hydralisks and 2 zerglings left. The yellow probes charged, but to no avail. The zerg forces killed all the probes, but died to 2 new zealots. At this point, another attack was on its way due to the expanded resources of the Zerg brood. Hydralisks and Zerglings crush the four defending zealots on the ramp, and moved into the undefended Protoss base. At this point, with no expansion, and no more men, GiZmOkId concedes the game, and the technology of The Lost Temple belongs to Headless_Clown's brood.
Things to Remember:
- This was a battle report meant to test my skills in HTML, and picture converting.
- It wasn't the greatest game in the world, I just used it because it was easy to write.
- Watching a game and getting a win for it is cool.
