        Let's meet these fools!

     [5th]Kefka 6:00 YELLOW

Kefka is one of many people I know from the clan [5th] (If that's really a clan, and they're more than more than one person.) He's generally a nice guy, has so gay ass strategies, and has terrible reconassiance in this game.

    ::Nobody:; 12:00 BROWN

This guy is a great Battle Report writer. I believe this guy came in through the influx of people over the last few weeks. He obviously is inconspicuous, because he's nobody! Other than blending into a large group of people that think Nohunters should be on the public list, this guy is totally cool. He plays like he's playing everyone in separate games, without sound and a blindfold over his head, but he's still fun to watch.

   GameOverZ 3:00 RED

This guy was down on his luck in "Hydralisks, and the Lost Souls that love them" because he was totally destroyed after being certain that he would win. This time though, he's playing on a smaller map, which has few crevices to hide in, and against more players. (Which really just means more people to lose to)

   CrisseDeMarde 9:00 WHITE

You hear the name, you think newbie. Or atleast I did. He certainly isn't much of a newbie, but GameOverZ, [5th]Kefka and :: Nobody:: certainly are gonna give him a run for his money!

  Let the battle begin!

Everyone started off   with eccentric build orders.

   [5th]Kefka  GameOverZ            :: Nobody::    CrisseDeMarde

   Pylon            Depot                       Depot              Depot

   Pylon            Barracks                   Barracks          Barracks

   Gateway      Depot                       Barracks           Gas

   Gas              Gas                           Depot                Depot

   Gateway      Depot                       Barracks           Facctory

   Pylon            Bunker (wall-in)        Barracks            Depot

You may notice that GameOverZ and CrisseDeMarde both had rather normal builds, except for the fact that niether of them had 3 SCV's on gas until atleast 5 minutes after they're Refineries went up. Other than that they played normally, but limp^bizkit, another one of the observers, decided to comment on the gay build orders.

Sure =] I'm positive you'll be able to find any public player that has a build order any better than nobody's =]

Before long, it was apparent that :: Nobody:: was massing marines, [5th]Kefka had his ass on his thumbs, and GameOverZ/CrisseDeMarde were messaging to each other about the gay build orders. Almost dying of laughter, CrisseDeMarde built a bunker and a command center at his natural expansion. Brown was very unhappy with this development, almost attacking before realizing that 1 bunker can slaughter thousand of marines if SCV's are repairing it. The marines backed off, and white sent a marine to scout out [5th]Kefka again. He found 4 zealots sitting at the choke.

:: Nobody:: decided to tech up, realizing marines wouldn't work, before they had even had a chance to fight! A factory and Starport went up quickly. GameOverZ wanted to stop him from expanding, so he put a tank and a bunker above his natural. They easily stopped the Command Center Nobody built 5 minutes later. [5th]Kefka also expanded, but he did it succesfully, along with white who took his natural also with no problems.

With his new found technology,(he hadn't made any tech units though) ::Nobody:: felt the need to suicide his marines. He sent about 20 Marines/Medics/Firebats to GameOverZ's natural, where he found a lone CrisseDeMarde marine at 5 hitpoints fleeing. Losing his marine, White dispatched everything he had to ::Nobody::'s main, intercepting a Dropship on the way to the attack, so that marines could be ferried up. The dropship got away, but :: Nobody::'s entire base didn't, and he was forced to retreat before 3 tanks on GameOverZ's ledge destroyed his marines.  Luckily for :: Nobody::', the two barracks on his ramp prevented the white marines from going in very quickly, and he was able to take out nearly half of the marines, which were stumbling around outside the base, alone. Having done that, white's marines were easily eliminated, with only a few losses in the way of firebats for ::Nobody::.

[5th]Kefka, who so far lacked an reconassiance at all, started up on corsair technology, while at the same time, GameOverZ started to pump Wraiths, and expanded to his natural. Too bad for :: Nobody::, he still had a tank/bunker above his natural, and he didn't feel like fixing it just yet. Instead, 2 dutiful SCV's, 5 bad ass marines, 1 Mrs. Medic (To you) and a pair of powerful tanks landed on the island in the top left, immediately begining construction of a Command Center and a barracks. At the same time, GameOverZ decided he had enough wraiths to heavily damage someone; he chose :: Nobody:: as that someone. 9 0/0 cloaked wraiths entered the backdoor of :: Nobody::'s base, forcing marines to run up and try to kill them, while the wraiths ran away when comsat was in use, to hit a different part of the base. This went on for quite a while, but other things were going on, more interesting that watching 9 wraiths kill a grounded Command Center, such as the fact that White decided to expand to his second natural expansion, and build 2 more barracks there.

[5th]Kefka decided to finally leave his hole in the ground, by scouting with a  a probe, while CrisseDeMarde decided to drop 3 marines, 1 tank, and 1 SCV atop [5th]Kefka's ledge. Unfortunately, the tank immediately started firing upon the probes, giving away the position of the units. To prevent losing his probe line, [5th]Kefka quickly d-webbed the tank, and took it, and all 4 infantry units, out with a pair of Psionic Storms. CrisseDeMarde, infuriated over the major tech advantage [5th]Kefka had, hastily built 12 or so wraiths from 3 starports, and decided to attack the natural expansion with his marines/medics/firebats/wraiths.

Back at :: Nobody::'s base, he was more or less dead. All that remained of him was what the wraiths left behind, and the island expansion that he was hiding on, hoping to be ignored for the rest of the game.

The marines and wraiths CrisseDeMarde had sent to [5th]Kefka's base were in heavy conflict with Zealots, Templar, and a lone carrier.  The marines continualy stimmed themselves, the wraiths stayed cloaked, and templar stormed wherever they could, but they were no match for the oncoming force of CrisseDeMarde's infantry.

The expansion eventually fell, but an Arbiter which was created after the carrier, swooped over, allowing a few zealots to destroy the entire attack force. The expansion was rebuilt, but the protoss was momentarily out of the game. He tried to expand to the island, but a lone wraith drove the shuttle away. CrisseDeMarde started 3 BattleCruisers, the first of many of these swaggering beasts.

The wraiths GameOverZ  had used to destroy :: Nobody::'s main, along with a few reinforcements, flew over the expansion, killing the Arbiter in less than one volley, then frightened off by 4 corsairs. A comsat there revealed that detection was no longer needed, so CrisseDeMarde, once again out to get [5th]Kefka, sent all of his marines/medics/firebats down to [5th]Kefka, eliminating him from the game. (4th Place : [5th]Kefka) At this time, the first 3 Battlecruisers finally finished, and were using to put [5th]Kefka into observer mode. GameOverZ, who was now powering hard, and had several goliaths and tanks, also was taking his 2nd natural, and :: Nobody::'s old main and natural  Brown, who now had a lone battlecruiser, expanded to his old 2nd natural.

GameOverZ became aware of the Battlecruisers, and swooped in with his cloaked wraiths to take them out. Unfortunately there was a Science Vessel that needed to be taken out first, and CrisseDeMarde was very quick with his comsat. Right after that battle, 3 more Battlecruisers joined up with CrisseDeMarde's 3, and another 2 joined up with :: Nobody::'s one. CrisseDeMarde, in order to keep up his unit production, took over [5th]Kefka's natural expansion, and fortified it with marines and turrets.

CrisseDeMarde, feeling very secure with his battlecruisers, sent them, along with several marine reinforcements, up to GameOverZ's main source of income at the time, his 2nd natural expansion. Several Golaiths and tanks protected it, but the Battle Crusiers were all defensive matrixed, and killed within 20 seconds of the frist goliath shot, mostly by cloaked wraiths. CrisseDeMarde had a problem. Losing 5 battlecruisers is generally considered a bad thing, (Atleast it is where I come from) and could easily change the game in GameOverZ's favor.

:: Nobody::, however, had a huge advantage over CrisseDeMarde, with 4 battlecruiers, and 3 barracks (Increased to 6 very shortly) making marines and medics. He looked as if he was definately part of the game again. In the largest, most deciding battle of the game, CrisseDeMarde sent up a large percentage of his infantry sqaud, to the area right between   :: Nobody::'s mineral expansion, and GameOverZ's mineral expansion. Right there, tanks, goliaths, marines, medics, battlecruisers all died.  :: Nobody:: lost all 5 of his battlecruisers, along with his entire expansion. He was almost out of the game. Of course, maybe he's not.dead at all! At the ledge above CrisseDeMarde's natural, a tank, with a battlecruiser and a turret, all stood there, hitting the command center with arclite fire. That didn't last long, however, 2 battlecruisers came over, Yamatoed the Battlecruiser, and took down the Turbo Newbie with no losses. (3rd Place: ::Nobody::) GameOverZ started a Nuclear Silo at his 2nd natural expansion.

Thats right. He is fucking 20 tanks. LOL With out delay, and with the speed of a stimmed marine, CrisseDeMarde sent his marines to take down the 12:00 natural owned by GameOverZ.  Having no way to defend it, and seeing 3 dropships by his 2nd natural, GameOverZ decided to let the expansion go, and sent 10 wraiths to try to kill the dropships. Unfortunately he only got 1 before it could unload all its cargo,  but a few tanks were able to stop all the marines. 4 more tanks were brought in, just as another wave came in, along with the mairnes that just took out the expansion. Luckily, 7 3/3 tanks can take out quite a few marines, with very few losses. The expansion stood still, and the first Nuclear Missile was ready.

Ghost whore.

The first nuke was going to be located at the previous location of  ::Nobody::'s expansion, which happened to have about 30 marines and 5 Battlecruisers. Unfortunately, there was also a Science Vessel which escaped the ghost's line of site. A quick Yamato blast stopped the ghost from nuking. Everyone had their opinion on the failure, but some of us were more upset than others. (As you see in the picture)

The 12:00 main was by now almost mined out, and white was starting an expansion at the 6:00 2nd natural. GameOverZ was expanding to the 12:00 natural again, while CrisseDeMarde was about to attack the 12:00 main. 3 drop ships of pure marines. (No Medics, but CrisseDeMarde did have restoration) along with 5 battlecruisers swaggered their way into the 12:00 main. 7 cloaked ghosts cloaked, 4 of them dying before they could cloak. Most of the marines were killed, but all 5 Battle Cruisers (2/3 upgrades) were locked down. A chilling Nuclear Launch Detected was heard by all. This looked as though it could kill CrisseDeMarde off completely, as his Battlecruisers had over 150 kills among themselves, and were a big part of CrisseDeMarde's game. Fortunately, a dropship with a few medics was already on the way. All the battlecruisers were restored, and flown away as fast as they could be. (Which is pretty slow) The Battlecruisers all escaped with their lives, but all the marines, 4 dropships, and the medics all died. 2 of the battlecruisers had 5 hit points, 2 had 2 hit points, and one escaped with 245 hit points. A single valkyre could have killed 4 of them. By the time they had gotten back to CrisseDeMarde's main there was a 6th member of the battlecruiser group. The battlecruisers stopped at the 6:00 natural for full repairs, by 12 scvs.

Things looked grim for GameOverZ. He decided to attack the expansion at the 6:00 2nd natural, but the Battlecruisers were repaired by then, and had scv's following them, so his attack stood no chance. The (now) 8 battlecruisers flew upwards, towards the last 2 places GameOverZ was mining at, destroying them along the way. This game was over. GameOverZ, who at one point, had plenty of tanks and golaiths to take a huge beating from Marines/Battlecruisers, was now down to nothing but a few wraiths, which he forgot to cloak when attacking the detectionless Battlecruisers. He forfieted a GG as the 12:00 expansion fell. I'm sure he had a lot of minerals backed up though, Good Game anyway. But I still need to see you win GameOverZ =]

(Second Place: GameOverZ)

(First Place: CrisseDeMarde)

Lessons Learned

1. Battlecruisers can make or break your game. Depending on which side of them your on =]

2. CrisseDeMarde is one damn lucky SOB! Had that dropship unloaded 1 mirco second later, I'm almost positive he would have lost.

3. [5th]Kefka should have done something with all the power he had early. (He had nearly enough to shut down white as he was expanding to his natural)

4. ::Nobody:: isn't as good at playing starcraft as he is at battlereport writing. Unlike YourRoleModel who ownz ur bonez. (Told'ja I'd do that eventually!)

As always, view the stats here.
