Before I start, I would like to state that this report was attained from a neutral observer, but I am recopying it here with my own input.
Let The Battle Begin
Early Game
The game started with all four competitors allying up with their corresponding teammates and beginning their Build Orders. I, Vladmir, started by getting a double barracks with quick gas. Loser opted to go for a tech build, neglecting zealots but warping in a few photons. Pi started very defensively, pooling on 12 and building massive defenses of sunken/spore. Dragon went triple gateway and started a very offensive posturing. Scouts of the four contestants were discharged to find their enemies' bases, all the while preparing for battle at the home base. At this point, the paths these players went branched off from one another.
I ammased my army of marines, bats, and medics, all the while waiting for the attack from my enemies. I wasn't let down. In scant seconds, an army of zealots and zerglings were marching over the bridge next to my base. The armies of Auir and the blood-thirsty brood clammered up my ramp, seeking to shed the blood of their terran enemies. They were met with a barrage of newly upgraded rifle fire along with terrifying jets of liquid fire. The sound of marines screaming as they injected their STIM drugs was heard throughout the battlefield. Screaming hellishly, they tried to push towards their enemies but were stopped by a blockade of medics that held their ground on the ramp. None of the psi-blades or hardened claws ever touched the terran army.
Seeing that this was futile, the army retreated very quickly from the battlefield, seeking to wet their fury on the terran's ally. Loser and I saw this transpiring so we quickly formulated a plan. I chased after the fleeing armies, trying to delay them long enough so that loser's starports could finish their warping. The delaying action lengthened the trek between the two bases long enough so that Loser had an armada of Scout Fighters ready to defend. The rush eliminated, the 2 factions started their mid-games...
Mid-Game
Shortly after the unsuccessful rush of my terran encampment, I decided to quickly expand to my natural mineral expansion and start production of two massive factories. My ever-growing infantry army marched down from their cliffs to build defenses at the new base. Two bunkers were built securely into the ground.
Loser continued to build his air force, but also incorporating a defensive army of templar and reavers. Corsairs whizzed across the sky, killing many doomed scouts looking for a foot-hold of information. Seeing that his resources were getting depleted, Loser began production on a second expansion.
Pi started production of a Spire and Hive, seeking for a gaurdian army to be built. His armies were put back when a duo of dropships landed on his cliffs and began shelling the Zerg base. Two bunkers were put up along with the sieging of the twin tanks. Knowing that the defense here was futile, Pi left the base for destruction.
Soon after the drop on Pi's creep, a wing of Dragon's shuttles dropped on the outpost, unleashing 8 angry reavers hungry for Terran blood. The tanks and bunkers didn't have a chance, the scarabs just too much for them. Seeing that ground was not suited for the winding valleys, I expanded a third time and built four massive Starports. The events that just took place signaled a new phase in the battles, the Late Game...
The Late Game
"Death in the Skies"
Three forces of twelve wraiths circled around my area, backed up with two Science Vessels each in case of attack. Four armories and their subsequent upgrades were next, making the Terran forces even more powerful with the new shells and lasers. The sun was really shining upon the human forces, really shining.
Loser and Dragon were in deep combat with each other, skirmishing every few minutes with carriers and scouts. Loser's once small airforce was now gigantic, including over fourty Scout Fighters backed up by a dozen Corsairs and a quarter-dozen observers. Then, as suddenly as they begun, the fighting between the two Protoss armies stopped. Dragon's Carriers no longer harrased the nimble Scout Fighters, but were on another course of action. The armies of Dragon and Pi were starting in on another mission, wiping out the Terran scum.
At least a dozen Carriers wafted across the clear blue sky, onward towards the human base. Right behind them came an army of ugly Mutalisks, angry Devourers, and blood-thirsty Guardians. The two massive airforces cast long shadows over the peaceful grass, their battle cries shattering the silence. I quickly radioed for help from Loser, and my answer was gived loud and clear in his actions. His near four-dozen Scout Attack Aircraft and Corsair Interceptors charged at the airforces from behind, and I followed suit by cloaking my Wraith Armies and charging the front. The battle to commense was by far the largest I have ever taken part in.
The screams of battle filled the air as Terran missles completly annihilated a Carrier where it hovered. The quick pulse fire of Corsairs splashed on every enemy, taking them down ever so fast. Photon Missles from the Scout Fighters made the acid spores of the Devourers look weak. Science Vessels rushed in front the flanks, EMPing the stunned Carriers and bringing death to the Zerg on the wings of Irradiation. The combined forces of the Terran Airforce and the Protoss Armada brought victory over the forces of Dragon and Pi. Soon after their massive airforces were defeated, the frightened Dragon and Pi accepted defeat and handed themselves over to their captors. This battle ended, the victorious armies of Vladmir and Loser marched across the battlefield as if it were a parade, holding themselves up with dignity. Many a years passed of peace in the land of Rivalry, but it was not to last. More evil awaited, and it was coming....
The End
A few suggestions for you:
1) Blocking off your ramp with medics will force the enemy to run around if he attack-moved.
2) Try hitting your enemy from all sides when you attack.
3) Wraiths with cloak are indespensible.
4) When all else fails, try insults, maybe you'll get them off their game.
Hope this helps,
Vladmir |
