This is a game from the X17 tournament's first round. The first round map is Lost Temple, and the tournament speed is faster. Zane-x17 took notes and screenshots, and then sent them to me to put together into a battle report. After writing a good copy and adding the spiffy pics, I present you....

On the prestigious Team Feared, we have TF-Geno and TF-Br@d. These guys should need little introduction. Geno, AKA Geno-The-Feared is a well known member of The Feared clan, and Brad's the guy who beat Maynard to win an i2e2 tournament. Woohoo, go Brad. The representatives of the {iM} clan are both from sweden, {iM}Rapiload and {iM}Daaman, and I don't really know who they are beyond that. But damnit, they must have balls being in this tourney against these boys. Questions pop into my head "Who are these funky Swedish boys with the futuristic clan tags?" "Can they take the heat?" "Who's voice is that asking questions in my head?"
Part 1: Junkyards and crapholes revisited
Both Terran commanders, Br@d and Daaman, concentrate on powering marines hard for some heavy rushing. They lay down their barracks, Br@d doing a wall-in at his ramp, and then getting gas and an academy for some medic-supported dope-fiend marines. Geno puts up an early second hatchery at his main, right beside his original hatch, and morphs in a spawning pool shortly afterwards. Rapiload does a standard double gate n' gas build-up.
The action starts when Rapiload sends a wave of 3 probes to harrass
Geno's drones. He kills one and then sends a zealot to reinforce his
'army'. Geno reacts by saving up his larvae and popping some
zlings. When he has 6, he runs at the attackers, killing the initial rush. Shortly afterwards, Geno adds another hatchery to the top of his cliff. Daaman, meanwhile, has been concentrating on marine production,
and is ready to help Rapiload with his attacks on Geno. The defending
zerg manages to gut this second wave using his formidable zerglings with a little help from Br@d's
marine-based army.
Part 2: This one's for the midgets, and all the other little people of the world
Br@d has taken the
opportunity to mass his forces while the Swedes have been
concentrating on rushing his partner, and has a frighteningly large
force of marines and medics waiting for a chance to chew some swedish ass. The {iM} team, having had enough of Geno
thwarting their attacks, plot to send in enough marines and zealots to spank
him into submission. As they rally their forces in the middle before they move in, Geno manages to sneak into Rapiload's base
with a horde of feral zerglings, who find very little resistance.
Moments later, as the zealots arrive home, the base is
almost completely flattened. The zealots take care of the zerglings
who are still running rampantly around killing things at random, and
the probes start rebuilding. All for naught, though, as Br@d's marines
reinforce the next wave of zerglings and the protoss quickly line up
to enroll in bitch school, where Geno will no doubt be waiting with a
whip and in one hand and his good friend Jack Daniels in the other. At the same time, Br@d sends in a
small posse of marines to test Daaman's base. What they find is one
marine sharing drinks with and taking advantage of a few nearby drunken medics. Shocked by the
misoginy and disrespect for the female form which is clearly rampant
in this outpost, Br@d's forces open fire, freeing the oh-so-thankful
women from the clutches of the evil Daaman. A moment later, in another display of the
degeneration of morals and good christion values corrupting this base, Daaman forces the
innocent SCVs to battle it out with Br@d's marines. Surprisingly, the
SCVs win the battle. But a moment later a hardened crew of marines and
zerglings run up the ramp and rip apart the remnants of his army and
base. This gay is over, and Team Feared has won! Much to the satisfaction of a certain perverted midget, rubbing his hands, licking his lips, and plotting his own death from miles and miles away, somewhere in the unforgiving Australian outback....
Well, there we go, hope you enjoyed it. Sorry about the lack of detail and such. There's also a very real possibility that I didn't report the game exactly as it happened because, well, I wasn't there, but I did all I could to get it right.. Yeah, so keep your eyes open for more battle reports from the X17 tournament in the next few days.
