Well, i'm gonna tell you guys how my campaign has been going...
I started it about a month ago (or tried to, anyway). So far, the in-game action has amounted to eight hours.... and i've had three or four people drop because of the traffic (nearing 1000 messages).
The rest have handed in interesting (if, in some cases, obviously overpowered) characters and have proceeded to play them to the hilt... which has, inevitably, degenerated into internal character conflict :)
Well, heres a recap of what's happened:
First, I had all the players meet in the Hawaii Naval Base Traning Facility at Perl Harbor, Oahu Hawaii. They chatted a bit, making friends, getting to know the chars (which include kung-fu fighters, mages, and nightbane... along with a ex-chi town dog boy, new navy babe and a kickass Surfer king.) and spewing the listbot with over 40 messages a day... Until the Hawaiian major general showed up, who proceeded to give him a briefing which most of the chars accepted... the others could not accept for OOC reasons...
After the General left, the Nightbane choose to try to scare one of the other chars - a Native Gunslinger. The nightbane procceded to have it's legs shot out from under it, managing to take away the guns shooting him... moments before having twin psi-swords stabbed in his head. Well, according to some, he should have died there and then.. I, of course, couldn't abide by that, and decided he went into a coma.
Well, one of the chars didn't like this, and when she tried to intervene, got shot with the twin laser guns (which she had returned to the gunslinger). The laser beams evaporated on contact with her... at which point the gunslinger was towed away by the general to have a little talk about what to and what not to do to members of the team.
The Nightbane was taken into protective custody, and rushed to a hospital, where he regenerated fully and came out of the said coma in three hours. Meanwhile, everyone got tickets to see a huge band play - one of the first ones, there haven't been that many new top-rank bands.
Also, the phase mystic and the spelldancer had a little duel, with the spelldancer getting his ass kicked. At the same time, a psychic char tried to hack into the mainframe - succeeding, but getting caught red-handed After that, a few of the chars went surfing and are having a kickass time :)
After doin some surfin (and investigation) the chars have settled down to eat, and are just about to go to a rock concert.
Now, I hope to get things going, but thanks to school, i've been really slow over the last week - oh well.
