Pregame Report
Ok so I was sitting around in no hunters, casually admiring the pitch-black screen. the screen was black cause nobody was rhere. Soon some Korean came and we wanted to start a game. We bickered around a bit but it was a no go so he left, but when I decided to make the game anyway, lo and behold he coasted on in! I said "hey, sup?" but he couldn't understand so just screamed 'go!" until I relented picked purple terran and soon found myself at 12:00 on Lost Temple. He said "gl" but I didn't respond so he popped up as orange Zerg at 6:00 >
First 2 SCVs do some killing!
Well I decided to do something strange! I started out normal, built a supply depot a little early on my nineth SCV and then contructed a refinery. Now I sent TWO scvs his way, and harassed his single one building a barracks. This I killed ( ! ) and then continued prowling about. I sent over another peon and used it to contruct a rax just in front of his choke. I figured heck I'm in this now why don't I hunker him in and harass then he won't be able to expand and will be fried!
Well this went pretty well but he attacked with like four SCVs, and mine dies. However, I had now made two marines at my forward rax and was building a bunker there. I has also transeferred another five SCVs from my main and began to harass his SCV trying to finish the rax, with marine support. The peon died, however he sent in 8 of his own SCVs. I lured them to my bunker and pegged em off!
How about a moe-town Smack-down!?
Yes it was time to make the kill, so I created another barracks, and continued harassing. he now turned all his SCVs on mine and I was killed, but I didn't move in again cause I was massing marines anyway. i thought about making an academy, but I thought nah since I don't usually erect those anyway ( what with all the medics . . . get it? ). Alright so now I moved my eight marines in, but they encountered mass SCVs. UI almost died but came out with four marines, yet the barracks was done and I was finished by two more SCVs and 2 more marines. Yet I had four more marines ready so I marched them in as well and got him!
Finale!
Well the marines did some killing! The enemy went down in no time, so I killed the barracks. Then the two supply depots and engineering bay. Now I encountered resistance from two SCVs but didn't want to risk my damage marines, so sent them down the ramp again. I came back up with one reinforcement, and killed off his brve peons. Yet he raised his command center and fled. I came in with a single wraith and killed that off, after a while, and he said i played great, and said "gg"
Stats were in my favour, I made more units and harvested slightly more than him! I also made way more structures, of course.
Lessons Learned:
1) Always be agressive
2) never be afraid of a new strategy
3) Peons can work well too!
4) Always be ready with airforces
5) Learn how to micro well, and macro too like I did in this game!
6) Writing brs is cool!
