Introduction
I was sitting in the Opponents Wanted channel hoping to find someone to play. After waiting a few minutes and finding nobody interested, I decided to just create a public game for a 2vs2 game. Two people entered my game. Kalles Kaviar and RaverRed. We sat in the game a few minutes waiting for another player. As we became bored, I offered to observe them play a 1 on 1. They agreed and the game began...
The map was $$$Hunters$$$ (best ver.). The map has plenty of minerals at the naturals and about 5 vespene supplies so expansions would most likely not be necessary. Kalles Kaviar randomed zerg. He spawned at 9 o'clock as white. RaverRed randomed zerg as well. He spawned in the bottom left corner of the map.
After watching my SCVs turn on each other, I decided to get down to business and enjoy the game. Kalles started out with a spawning pool at 8 drones followed by 3 creep colonies which were quickly upgraded to sunkens. Raver starts out with an extractor at 8 drones followed by a spawning pool. Kalles continues to make sunken colonies until he has 5 at his main. This would prove to be a wise decision...

As soon as Raver gets to 100 Vespene, he quickly upgrades to a lair. During this, Kalles mutates a second extractor along with a new hatchery. He also upgrades his first hatchery to a lair. Raver makes 2 more drones and mutates them both into creeps and sunkens. He has been making zerglings all this time, and now has a rather formidable force of 12. Raver creates 2 more drones which he mutates into an evolution chamber and a hydralisk den. He then creates another drone and makes another creep which he mutates into a spore colony. This would be the only spore he would make and it would prove later on that this would not be enough.
As Raver's spore is mutating, Kalles begins a spire. Kalles then mutates a second spire along with another extractor and an evolution chamber. Raver begins a spire of his own along with a queen's nest. He also makes sure that he continues to make zerglings. As soon as the spires are finished, Kalles begins creating mutalisks. As soon as 2 are completed, he sends them on a scouting mission in a clockwise direction. He didn't know this, but he took a very long route to find his enemy. When Kalles' mutas finally discover Raver's base, Raver is upgrading to a hive. Kalles has a hive as well, and 2 other hatcheries. He notices Raver's air defense weakness and quickly takes advantage by rallying 12 mutas just above Raver's main preparing for an attack...

At this time, Raver has 2 queens, 6 mutas and only one spore colony. He still only has one hatchery. Sensing an attack from Kalles, Raver sends in his now 30 lings at Kalles' base. They prove to be no match for Kalles' defense as he sends his 12 mutas over to assist in the defense along with his 5 sunkens. One sunken is destroyed, 30 zerglings are destroyed. I would say the attack has failed.

Realizing that Raver is most likely vulnerable at home, Kalles upgrades one of his spires to a greater spire. Then he evolves 8 of his mutalisks into guardians. Along, with 6 other mutalisks, Kalles makes his way to Raver's main. He breaks through Raver's mutalisks and his 2 queens and goes for Raver's drones. He kills most of them, but one escapes. With the guardians excellent range and power, they wipe out Raver's only spore and the remainder of his buildings.

Now what about that drone that escaped you ask? He tried to mutate into a hatchery further up Raver's main choke. Unfortunately for Raver, it didn't take long for Kalles to find him and he quickly destroyed it.
Here's the final score:

I learned quite a few things from this game:
1. As a Zerg, it is essential that you have more then one hatchery.
2. Always think defensive first.
3. Just because you have anti-air units, you should still create structures whether they be turrets, photons, or spores.
Well this concludes my Battle Report. Hopefully the images work. I hope you enjoyed it.
