Players: MasterOfMordor (Random Terran)
[a-ram]ceione (Random Zerg)
VS.
breakfast (Random Zerg)
Lo-st (Random Terran)

It was pretty late, and I had just finished a 1on1 with ceione. We went to channel nohunters to chat about the game, soon after breakfast walks in. He joins in the conversation, and I ask them if they want to 3 ffa. He says no, hes waiting for a friend, but we can do a 2on2 after his friend is done. Soon comes Lo-st and the game begins...

Early Game

My Command Center was proudly constructed in the 10:00 position, while ceione infested the 5:00. Recon later told that breakfast had spawned in the 3:00, and Lost had landed his Command Center in the 7:00. The Conquest began with my ally doing a 6-pool on breakfast, whom took his natural early. He was able to kill all but 2 drones, before breakfast spawned his own zerglings. "good start," I thought to myself, as I began my refinery. With breakfast crippled, I should be able to tech with relative ease. I sent my first few marines scouting, soon finding Lost with three rax. Deciding to take the risk, I continued my teching to Dropships. With the sound of a Dropship lifting off we entered the Mid-Game phase...

Mid Game

With my ComSat I sought the profile of my Terran enemy, finding a blind spot in the corner. Awakening a sleeping SCV (finger in nose) I ordered him, 3 newly trained marines, into my dropship along with a shiny new Seige-Tank, hot off the press. The chick at the wheel managed to land an SCV in enemy territory, without being detected. As the SCV stepped from the ship, he received orders of a bunker. The bunker was finished, and promptly loaded 3/4 of the way. The SCV then began work on a 2 bunker. After soon finishing the bunker setup was asailed by a squad of 8 marines. The SCV managed to keep the bunker attack, despite the considerable damage the Guasse Rifles inflicted. I took this time to observe my ally's build order, to find that he had 2 drones mining. Ahh... the Terran enemy had skillfully harrased the drones to death. Thinking opimistically, the Dropship was ordered to unload the hulking Seige Tank, whom was ordered into seige mode soon after. The dropship then took route back to the main base, and succesfully loaded 2 tanks. Yet another dropship lifte off, accomponied by a stealth Wraith. The enemy base was blown off the face of the Planet, but, with the assistance of the "lift-off" command, 2 barracks, a factory, and a Command Center managed to take residence on one of the central plataus, under the protection of several Zerg Hydralisks. My ally, now free of harrasmant, began his ascent to lurkers, planning a quick drop on the new Terran main. I looked over my base, a bunker and tank, for defence (that was assaulted by many hydras during my attack, i might add), and NO upgrading facilities (I hate that none of the terran upgrading facilities are required in the tech tree). Scanning the Zerg enemy, and finding that he was 1/2 made me quiver. With the arrival of "Mr.Burns" the Science Vessel, we entered the final stage of the game...

Late Game

With my single starport I began the production of Science Vessels. I took the base I had destroyed, and used its gas reserves as payment for the concuming vehicles. My ally took the natural under my exp. and allerted my that he need a wraith to support his lurker drop. Quickly ordering my arogant wraith to my ally's base, we began the drop. I pushed away the Overlords with the wraiths powerfull missles, while my ally spewed 4 lurkers from within his overlords. Zerg attempted to support the dieing terran, who lifted of all his buildings, and huddled his SCVs in a corner. But no sooner had the attack began, when 3 overlords appeared from the north freed 12 hydras to wreak havock upon my poor, poor wraith. The lurkers quickly perished, and the attack was succesfully halted, to my dismay. Looking back on my Science Vessle production, I cloned a few irradiates on the defending hydras, but the limited energy of the Science Vessel was not enough for any more. Expecting Scourge to begin appearing, i made plans for 3 valks, to escourt the Vessels. My exp. was going with about 6 SCVs when they doom drop was executed, by the evil cerebret, with over 6 overlords, it looked like the end for me. Fortunately, my production of Science Vessels hadn't been paused, and I caused the zerg much pain, with multiple irradiates. At one point in the attack, my CC had 20 hps with 3 hydras attacking it, I knew it would mean certain doom if i let it die, and quickly had 6 of the surviving SCVs repair it. They lone hydras were dispatched by a half-dozen marines, soon after. I slowly rebuilt, in both my main, and exp. , and in my spare time took a gander at my ally's well being. He had gathered nearly 2 dozen hydras at his exp. and was preparing for a frontal assault on the zerg. I went up and began production of tanks and marines, to support this devasating attack. Before more than 1 tank was released, he was hit HARD. The devious zerg took multiple queens, and ensnared the herd of hydras with a sticky, green substance. Then following up with MANY hydras of his own, and a lurker here and there too. At the sighting of this, I quickly ordered my Vessels down, to turn the poor zergies yellow. My 4 valk, and irradiates completely killed all overlords, and most of the hydras. Unfortunately they were supported with more hydras, and a small legion of mutas. I was able to save my exp. through baiting technuiques (sp?), although my ally was hurting for gas. He took a chance, and moved 2 lurkers over to the only open main, and expanded. I doubled production of Science Vessels (I lost about 4 in that battle), and tried to begin a drop on terran, but before any attempts could be made, my ally's main was swamped with yet another hydra drop. The enemy took heavy losses (there were 6 sunkens there, to keep them from harassing earlier in the game) but they were, unfortunately, taken out with extreme prejuduce. The only thing my ally had, was his expansion. I set up peace terms with the Zerg Cerebret, and Terran Commander, and exchanging GGs we allied. I stayed after the game, and saw that Terran had been building in one of the Zergs exps and had teched to NUKES! I was amazed at their skill. Good Game breakfast, and limpling (his normal name)!

Lessons

-You better have a lessons section in your BR or you're gonna lose points ;)

-valk are very good at defending your Science Vessels, due to their large splash

-If you're gonna make a sunken, make sure it's gonna protect your mineral line. My ally had to build 6 sunkens to protect his base from harrasmant, when 2 would have been able to do the same job

-If a Terran enemy lifts off and expands somewhere, DO NOT (this is a BIG no-no) leave him for dead. As you can see, we thought all he had was a factory, and couple raxs... he really had NUKES!

-Pictures really coulda made this BR alot better (breakfast's drops were massive) but committing even the smallest amount of time to pressing that print button, might have lost me the game alot sooner ;)

Hope you all enjoyed this BR, as I enjoyed the game!
