Rage{hero} vs. Killer{hero}
*** Note: this BR's format is similar to my last one, which I should have credited Casper for, therefore, this BR's format is credited to Casper. ***
The Call to Battle:
One day, in the homeworld of clan hero, the delicate balance of power between clan members
was to be disrupted. Peace and calamity between military leaders was about
to be broken between two of the most powerful and bad-tempered generals
of the army of Clan Hero. Rage{hero}, bothered by the inactive clan,
decided that he was going to start an altercation that he knew would
inevitably lead to a civil dispute. Believing that he deserved more
geysers in the zerg homeworld of char, Rage{hero} claimed 4 geysers in
Killer{hero}'s territory. Killer protested furiously to the clan leader,
Immortal, and peace talks were held. However, Rage{hero} continued his
aggression until Killer could bear it no longer. Knowing that his armies
were still weak in char, he decided to turn his attention to another planet
where Rage was planning to colonize: the Lost Temple.
Mobilization:
Commander Rage landed his terran Command Center
at the 3 o'clock position directly right of the temple and its lands that
he was to claim. Little did he know that Executor Killer
had just warped in a nexus at the 6 o'clock position directly under the temple.
Sensing that something was not correct, Rage
went scouting with Deon around the lands of the Temple to make sure that he was
uncontested. But how surprised he was to find a little tiny probe from
Killer skip through before his wall-in could be
completed. However, Rage had also found
Killer with Deon. Both players hid their peons at an unoccupied part
of their opponents base waiting to do what mischief they could.
Ok ok fine I'll give you the build orders!
Rage's build order went something like this:
Depot (for wall-in), Barracks (for wall-in), Refinery, Depot
(completed wall-in), double Factories, and somewhat later, a starport.
He seems to be going for Heavy Metal units; a good choice against
Protoss.
Killer's build order went something like this:
Pylon, Gateway, Assimilator, Pylon, Cybernetics Core, and then another Gateway.
Killer looks like he wants to do a little dragoon
containment.
Fields of Blood:
Now that the mobilization phase is over, the actual defense network and
fighting may begin. Rage has put his 2 factories
to work creating vultures and tanks full-time. However,
Killer has been building up a dragoon containment force outside
of his enemy's base. His containment force consists of 6 dragoons.
While his goons are sitting there, he decides to expand to his natural
and maynards 6-8 probes over while creating his 4th gateway.
Killer has now added to his tech a Citadel of Adun and a Templar
Archives to do further mischief.
Killer finally decides to break the peace and
goes on a little mischief run. He sends a lone dark templar to scout Rage's natural. Immediately at the sound of warp blades
humming, the the vultures lay down mines and the dark templar is vanquished
from the temple. However, being very paranoid that Killer
has more pesky dt's, Rage lays down more mines,
completes the turret building and sieges 3 tanks right inside the mine field.
Rage, tired of being contained by 6 dragoons,
decided to move to break the containment force. He took 4 vultures and
6 tanks and moved against Killer's forces. Arclite
Shockwaves dissembled 2 dragoons before Killer could retreat.
During this time, the protoss commander sends reinforcements over toward
Rage's natural in the form of 6 zealots, 8 dragoons
and 4 high templar. With the sheer numbers, psionic storm and splash damage from the spidermines,
Killer was able to retain his foothold for containment outside of
Rage's natural.
By this time, things pretty much quiet down in the perspective of fighting,
but imperialism has taken a great toll on the leader's attention.
Rage now takes his natural, as well as floating a lone CC over
to the bottom island. Killer, is not nearly as
conservative as his opponent. He decides to whore by taking: The 9 o'clock
main, natural, and second natural, his 2nd natural, and the 12 o'clock
2nd natural and main. Hm..that's 6 expansions to 2. Things look slim for Rage.
But by this time, both players have large armies. Rage
has about 12 tanks as well as plenty of mines defending them and maybe 7 vultures. Rage
will not let Killer's expansions go uncontested. He vulture drops the 9 o'clock main,
and sends a few vultures to mine the 12 o'clock main. However, the real battle is about to be endured at
Rage's natural leading into his main.
Storms flew and troops fall. Tanks blow up in an orange fire of fury.
Killer charges all his troops into
Rage's defending forces and after taking many
casualties, which are quickly replaced by reinforcements coming out of
8 gateways, blows right through Rage's natural
and proceed to his main. Killer, the very
sadistic character, throws up storms on helpless SCV's working the
fields for Rage .
Seeing that his troops were hopelessly outnumbered,
Rage summons the temple to act like it's Xel'Naga ancestor and
wipe anything and everything out of the planet of the Lost Temple.
Game 1 goes to Killer{hero}.
***Note: This is actually a -MrCow- production, except now I'm going to be using this name because I am now in Clan Hero. Great game by both players in game 1. Game 2 will be posted shortly.***
