Ok, started off as a Ladder match on Proving Grounds...

My oppenent (Zerg by choice) spawned his hatchery at the lower left start and I (Zerg by random) spawned at the upper right start..

To begin the game istarted with a zerg v zerg build, went 8/9 pool, then went for gas knowing mutas would be the deciding factor on this map... I laid down a single sunken to protect my base and backed it up with 8 zerglings in case of a rush...

At this time my zergling found him and he found me... My scout reported that he had already started on his lair while I had yet to start mine and he hed fewer lings than I did and had just finished morphing a singular creep colony for defense. (Just creep, not sunken yet...) He also had a hydra den, a rarity for a zerg v zerg matchup which generally turns out to be a ling/muta battle..

After this brave zerglings last report I knew that mutas were to be his first as I was behind him in tech so I layed down 2 more creeps along my peon line and covering my tech buildings put down a evo chanber to provide a solid anti muta defense... All proceded a pace as I morphed them to spore colonies and pumped 12 more lings so as to try to rush him...
While I made the lings I saw I had minerals starting to pile up while I waited for gas and my spire to complete so I laid down another 2 hatchs 1 at my main for troops and another at the expansion right below my base, the one with few minerals but the almigty gas point...

At this point my spire finished and knowing that I was behind in the quest for mutas I began to morph 2 mutas and about 6 scourge.. As the scourge finished morphing an overlord slowly approached my base scouting for my enemy so I sent 2 scourge at it and shortened it's lifespan a bit, now down to 4 scourge I sent them long way to my enemys base and took out 2 more overlords in an attempt to stop him from building more troops...

Almost Then looking at my almost completed hatchery I saw 4 lurker run up to it, run past it, then after a minute run back to it and burrow... I canceled it before they attacked it and tried to get the drone back but alas the slow witted drone stood still a bit too long...Now having extra minerals I put the minerals and gas to work as I started my level 1 attack upgrades for air and ground melee..

I relized that I would need detection when I attacked his base with my swarm so I started the speedy overlord upgrade and made a few more scourge to try to slow his troop production a bit more... sending my 2 mutas and a slow overlord down to where I could see his lurker sitting I began to attack but he burrowed them... while waiting for my overlord to arive I sen the mutas back tol my base fearing an ambush of scourge or his larger fleet of mutas...
As it happened before my overlord could get there he unburrowed them and ran them around behind my base, out of my sight, then attacked with a large (18) force of zerglings to draw my troops away from my peon line where he quickly burrowed the dastardly lurker in an attempt to kill my production... The fool put them in range of my sunken and the spore colony protecting my mineral line so the lurkers autotargeted the defense as the defense began pounding upon them... With the help of my 2 mutas the 4 lurkers perished after killing only a few drones that happened to be between the lurkers and the sunken... At this point I made a few more drone and taking my 6 1/0 mutas and another 4 scourge I went to pay my enemy a visit.., I also sent a few 1/0 lings to the expansions to guard them and started another expansion at the top left main to replace the one I had been forced to cancel earlier... My mutas and scourge got to his base and the scourge scouted and killed another 2 overlords while showing his peons to be open to an air attack as his 1 spore colony only covered his tech buildings which were on the other side of his lair... I began hitting his peons when 5 0/0 mutas came attack moving in and he began putting up a spore to cover the top of his mineral line... my shift que attacking and 1/0 upgrades won the day over his 5 mutas leaving me 2, but his spore colony began firing at me and I fled to the rear of his base over his ledge... This let me see that his rear minerals were unguarded by anti air and I could hit his extrator too... As I began to tag stray drones and kill his extrator I upgraded more melee attack and moved 12 zerglings to each of his bridges and morphed another 12 in an effort to insure his doom... When I looked back at my mutas a I saw them about to die to a spore colony that had had walked up to the extrator under cover of another spore colony.. I moved back to his ledge and brought an overlord down to his base incase of lurkers, but a scouting ling showed no lurker spines so I charged in with 36 speedy 2/0 lings and won the day over his 2 sunkens, he never remade lings after that attack with the lurkers... As soon as he saw the 36 lings he quit out, no GG or anything...

Lessons : Scourge are great vs zerg, most zerg, when playing a zerg aren't careful about their lords because most of the time another zerg won't go after them hard... Like a toss will with corsars or a terran with wraiths...Besides they are small and take 2 hits to kill with a spore colony and 6 hits with a hydra so make the most of them... I think preety much that's why he never got mass troops to counter me...

PROTECT YOUR PEONS!!! He actually tried to kill my peons with 3 mutas while under fire from 2 spore colonies...Didn't even go so that he was only under fire from 1...He put up spores way to late, let me gimp him down to about 5 drones... And a zerg without gas is dead...

He did well with the lurkers though, ai doesn't target unburrowed lurkers as long as other attackers are in range... If he'd microed the lurkers he could have taken out about 1/2 my drones in 2 shots... And he had 4 lurkers so ouch...
