EnThuseD vs. Bill-the-Probe on Radiance
|
I know 3 battle reports in 3 days. I didn't want to write anymore but EnThuseD told me to br his 1v1 game with Bill-the-Probe so I joined.
In the ready room the two opponents picked their races. Bill-the-Probe chose Protoss and soon after EnThuseD chose Zerg.
It seems Bill didn't know the map which might give EnThuseD a little edge.
Once both players were ready, and I had a better pen to write with, the timer slowly ticked down to zero and I'm sure the adrenaline began to kick in for EnThuseD and Bill-the-Probe.

Early game and bitching
|
Once the game started, like on most unknown maps, the early game bitching that this map sucks began.
EnThuseD had gotten the bottom right start position with his color being white, while Bill was in the top right as blue..(looks in his starcraft manual).
Ooh. White Zerg is the Baelrog Brood which "consists of the most fearsome of all Zerg warriors" and Blue Protoss is the Sargas Tribe which is "easily the most notorious of the Tribes". During my search in the Starcraft manual Bill had gone
7 pylon
8 scout
9 gate
14 pylon
but I might have missed a probe or two in my counting. Bill sent his probe to the bottom right position which found EnThuseD.
While all this happened EnThuseD had sent his overlord to scout the top right position, sent 9th drone to the expansion above him
then got an overlord and a pool.
Bill has sent his first 3 zealots to harrass EnThuseD which got raped by zerglings and a sunken. EnThuseD has turned his drone at the exp into a hatchery, and at his main, begins a lair, a hydra den and sends another drone to the bottom left main which morphs into a hatchery.

The death of EnThuseD
|
His base now has another gate, assimlator, a c. core, a forge and is now building 3 goons while warping in a Citadel.
Bill now sends 10 zealots, 2 dragoons, and a probe to attack EnThuseD's main.
EnThuseD takes care of the dragoons with zerglings, and it seems he has added a spire, because mutas proceed to kill the helpless zealots from above.
The mutas move into Bill's probe line but Bill's 3 dragoons stall long enough for 3 cannons to be erected by the probe line,
EnThuseD runs his mutas to the gateways but the dragoons follow and the mutas must retreat after only killing some probes and a gateway.
Bill has added a templars archive to his base and rebuilds his lost gateway and probes. After some time he attacks with an archon, 3 goons, a probe, 2 zealots and a templar. Thanks to the archon, goons and a storm the defending mutas are destroyed and the zerglings and hydras are easily taken care of.
EnThuseD's main is destroyed
and his expansion has been found. As the sunkens fall all the players call good game.
And, no, I do not have a final scores picture. Blame s1utty I tell you.
He made me want to play and so I left the game and closed the scores quickly..but I did beat him and I assure you
the game was not 5:30 like my last br. :) If any other obs have the pic, send it to me and I'll
upload it to a site, and put up a link. Oh, btw, I'm going on vacation tomorrow (8/25/00) for 3 days so no more br's for awhile.
