Introduction:

Well I have been up for about 20 hours now, just spent the last 3-4 hours reading old .Praetor reports, and combined with HeartCutter reports, I feel inspired (Is it just me or does HeartCutter want to make you play Terran?). Anyhow I played this game Yesterday ( YESTERDAY!?! Where am I?? Oh god..I'm dizzy...) anyways I bring the report to you..

The Setup:

Well there I was bored out of mine in NoHunters, I ask for a 1v1 and to my surpise someone accepted. This bold challenger's name was Admiral. S1utty offered to observe the game, make sure it's not Bad Manner.

The Map: Lost T***** (Censored due to Overuse)
Player 1:Zyx (Chosen) Terran 12:00
Player 2:Admiral (Random)Terran 9:00
Obs: S1utty

Playing against a random opponent, I decided to mimic a build I saw +High Templar+ do earlier against, which insisted of: Depot,Rax (Wall In),Bunker,Rax,Depot,Gas,Bunker.

I placed the bunker right behind the depot, so it was facing down the ramp, and then a 2nd bunker beside the Rax on the cliff edge.
I decided I'd try a move I saw Wangsonn perform several times, and float my first Factory over to Admiral's cliff. I quickly built another factory, and also an armory to get Goliaths (against any wraiths that should show).I also built a starport with add-on, and then built a dropship. Shortly after my first tank was produced on the 9:00 cliff.
I watched in horror has a troop of M+M and 3 tanks rolled up to my front door. Now to my amazement, the marines in the bunker werent able to reach the marines below, even though they had range upgrade. Admiral sent his M+M up the ramp while his tanks seiged up ( Now I wish I had a picture of his marines dying one by one as they ran into the 2 bunkers). I quickly attempted to build a tank in my new factory but to my shock I was at 36/36 supply!! OMG! asddfssd. Hrm..ok...well this isn't good.

I immediately begin the building of a supply depot, as the first bunker falls...then the second...damn. I took my dropship and began another base on the upper left island. FINALLY the depot is done, and a tank pops out. I reinforce it with...3 marines!! Tank + 3 Marines < 3 tank 8 marines. I did manage to kill off a tank and sever marines before losing my last hope though. I lift off all buildings capable of doing so and send them to the 9:00 cliff. My new island base is up, and I drop all my scv's there. I noticed now that Admiral still hadn't expanded...hrm...well soon I got the island base up. I built turrets along the cliff, and with the factories I had at the 9' cliff I dropped tanks at my island for drop defense. I also dropped off two marines on the mainland to check for expansions.

I set up a comsat, and saw a small red dot in the corner of the screen by the 9' cliff, and click there just as a SCV wonders out of range. Hrm..an expansion. I scan my 12' main base, and see that indeed he is starting a CC there. I also scan his main base mineral line to see he is OUT!!?? of minerals. Obviously he needs that expansion to survive. I take this time to send my old CC from 12' to the bottom right Island. I also pump out a couple more tanks to watch 9's cliff. Soon after, my bottom island is up and running, and I make a Science facility, deciding to go for nuke capabilities. Now due to shortage of space, and also this excess money I now had about 3000/2000. I drop a SCV at the 3' main base, and send my old Rax (one of them was destroyed) there along with my Starport.
Soon a base is up and running, and I begin construction of 3 Factories and 2 barrax. Things have still been pretty quiet from Admiral, so I scan his main and see some drop ships, and tank/MM forces scattered. I scan the northern expansion and see 4-5 tanks with 8 marines standing by, and some more drop ships...ok he wants to play the dropping game. I begin construction of goliaths from the 9' cliff, and realize that I need drop defense on the upper island also. I drop 4 goliaths there, and put them on patrol. Soon after 2 wraiths are sent in to see what they can do, but do quickly to nearby turret/gollie fire.

Then he threw the hammer at me and dropped 5 dropships worth of M+M and 2 tanks on the 9' cliff, which was defended by 4-5 tanks and some turrets. Needless to say it fell quickly to the attack and with my last building, I saw the construction of a CC at his Natural. Well knowing that he had to have gotten all those men from somewhere I scan his 12:00 main and see that all the tanks and MM have been moved. I load up my dropship with a Goliath and 3 marines ( with stim) and drop them in the 12 mineral line. I kill roughly 50% of the scv's before Admiral realizes and runs them off. I give a brief chase with my stimmed marines before turning back.

Now by this time my 3' base has become fully operational, and I have built a nuke silo, while pumping tanks and goliaths from the 3 factories. Also pumping marines from the 2 barracks. Now Admiral launches an attack on this base, with several goliaths, some M+M, and some tanks. I had placed 2 bunkers near the ramp, which took care of most the goliaths and 'rines. I also flew in 3 wraiths to attack the tanks that were firing on these now flaming bunkers. 2 died to goliath fire, but not before destroying the remaining tanks. It was around now I decided to spend some of my money and upgrade cloak + lockdown, while building a nuke. "Nuclear Missile Ready" Gogogogogoogogo I tell my ghost (Casper ^^) He cloaks and heads over to the 9' natural. A quick scan reveals that there is no nearby detection and a wraith hovering above a now busy mining operation. I decide to try one of the gosu tricks I learned, and target the Nuke on the flying Wraith [You see if you target a flying object the dot does not show up visibly, and your opponent will fall down from moving the screen around searching for it] The nuke landed perfectly, and wiped out his natural's mining operation. Let's recap the current situation shall we? Zyx - 3 full blown expansions : Admiral - 0 mining bases
I started to smell fear in the air....and realized it was coming from MY MEN!!!?? "Your forces are under attack", sweet mother of god what now. I click over to my 3 o'clock main to see 6-7 bc's attacking it. I had about 7 goliaths now, I managed to kill 3 BC's before they all died. 2 more BC's flew in to reinforce the fleet, and I quickly queued up more Goliaths to be built. I had 4 or so ghosts standing buy with 100+ energy, so just as my Goliaths popped out, I fired off those Big-Mechanical-Ship-Tranquilizers ( Lockdown bullets ) and locked down 4/6 BC's. 3 more Goliaths popped out, and the threat was eliminated. I then sent another Ghost back to 9' where he once again nuked the natural.

I decided to expand to 6' main, where I set up base, a couple more BC attacks occured but were fought off. I then got bored of this game and made mass tanks/goliaths/marines and just attacked Admiral. He was able to cut my force in half before dying. We said our GG's and he left.

Lessons Learned:
1) Just because you have to lift doesn't mean you have lost. I used to believe if I could make my terran oponnent lift off he was as good as dead. Actually Admiral said as the game was ending 'I thought the game was over when you lifted' so hell goes to show ya.

2) I should have made tanks for defense before flying the factory over. I would have beat off the initial attack if I had.

3) Lockdown + Goliaths = Ownage =]

4)Learn html better....oh wait..

5) SLEEP, SWEET JEEBUS MAN, I swear have insomnia from this damn game.
