All right this b report has no screen shots unfortunately but you could probably picture it.
In the early part my ally went for double hatch instead of ling and I elected to go zels for a while. After getting 6 zels and my ally getting 12 lings we rushed purple and forced him to liftoff. Red attacked with firebats and managed to wipe out brown's expansion. I tried attacking red but he had lots of firebats. I then built cannons at my ramp and around my base. I got dts and saw that terran had turrets so me and my ally rushed with lings, zels, and dts but failed at the hands of tanks and firebats. I then expanded to my natural and began mining like crazy.
Meanwhile my ally expanded and the game went silent as my ally teched up to guardians and I got corsairs. I tried dropping dts, zels, and 2 hts but failed. I managed to kill 5 scvs with a lone dt and lots of troops with storm. Later on I tried and failed miserably. The worst part was that d-web got in the way of my reavers. I was pretty much screwed so I decided to get das as my last resort. My ally expanded to purple's old main and I expanded at the natural and the mineral-only expansion near brown. I got a total of 12 das with all upgrades and 5 hts. I then saw that purple got bcs. I didn't care. Purple and red managed to take all of brown's bases. Brown had only 1 base and it was at my mineral-only expansion. Red managed to kill my 2 expansions.
Then came the test for the das. Purple sent 4 bcs and red sent stuff. I mced 5 bcs and killed off the troops with them. I then sent an observer to check out red and saw an scv expanding outside of brown's old main. I sent a da in shuttle and mced the scv and escaped. I use the scv to repair the bcs and my ally complimented me for that. I then sent an observer and saw that purple was expanding to brown's natural. I saw that purple had 7 bcs which led to his doom soon. I sent 3 scouts as a distraction while I mced his 7 bcs. I escaped with 1 scout alive and 6 das. My ally was happy. I repaired the damage and thus I pressed for my siege. Back at base I pumped lots of goons and expanded outside of purple's natural unguarded.
Thus the siege began. I sent my 11 bcs and wiped out red's main losing 2 bcs. I then pressed on and killed purple's expansions. All that was left was one red expansion and one purple expansion. I was about to attack when all of a sudden red disconnected. Purple asked for an ally vic and we accepted. He said that mc is such a bitch and that when he saw my 12 das he said holy f*ck. I told him I just felt like pumping them up. He complimented me saying that he couldn't beleive mc saved the day. He also was pleased on how I got red's scv. GGs were exchanged and after a hard fought battle the members of the swarm and of aiur standed victorious over the terran dominion. Who would've thought that das would save the day for the almighty warriors of Aiur.
Lessons learned
- Never give up. I gave up hope and just built das like mad and in the end it was das that helped me
- Mind Control kicks ass. Terrans can't possibly stand much of a chance against a toss that uses das and lots of them.
- Protoss can win with another race's unit.
- Always guard your base well. I didn't defend my expansions at all.
- Build spore colonies all the time. My ally didn't and valks and wraiths killed lots of his air.
Oh well too bad there's no screen shots. I'll try to get some next time.
